"Sunken stories"

With a forceful push, the door to the wreck's captain's quarters was broken open, and the snake man slithered inside to look around. The room was a mess, of course, but better preserved than he'd expected, especially a fancy wooden desk. Looking through its drawers, he found several notes that had likely been written by the captain, and started to read through them. They'd faded quite a bit from having been underwater for so long, but he could still manage it, enjoying learning about someone who'd been gone for possibly centuries.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: one day, deep beneath the surface of the ocean, a Snake wearing a pair of orange swim goggles was heading towards a shipwreck to do some exploring, nearby the area...Charmy the charmander was feeling a little adventurous diving down past her previous dive record, she happens to notice the shipwreck and the snake and decided to swim over to them, she's also wearing goggles, but hers are red orange in color, her face is a little red as she's been under for a good while

L: The snake seems to be doing just fine, without a blush of their own. He waves to Charmy and gestures toward the shipwreck, trying to make it clear he intends on exploring inside it.

S: charmy waves back and smiles before looking at the shipwreck, she nods her head as she wants to come along and explore inside the wreck with them

L: The snake nods back, happy to have someone with him for his dive. Before too much longer, the two reach the shipwreck, and the snake settles onto the deck of it to slither around instead of swimming while he looks around.

S: charmy floats near the floor of the deck and gently kicks around as she too look around for anything cool or interesting, making sure to stay close to the snake as her blush slowly increases

L: After a little bit, the snake finds a door, and he waves to Charmy to try to bring her attention to it. He carefully tries to open it, but it seems to be stuck.

S: charmy turns and notices the door, she swims over to it and tries to help the snake open the door, the snake having a clear view of her red face

L: The snake hesitates for a moment, seeing Charmy's red face... But, assuming she's able to handle it for now, he doesn't think much of it, and works with her to try to force the door open.

S: eventually they managed to open the door, charmy letting out some bubbles happily as they managed, before letting out a very quiet grunt of strain

L: Slithering into the room, the snake happily looks around, though he does start to worry about Charmy just a little. He's beginning to get a blush of his own, as well.

S: charmy follows the snake into the room, wondering what goodies may be hidden in here, although she starts to notice her need to breathe as her face turns fully red, she starts to look for some kind of air pocket in the room

L: The snake quickly happens to spot one. "Mm!" He points up to it, then swims up into it to breathe.

S: "Mmm!" charmy immediately swims up to it as well and gasps in the air, her face returning to normal
"Phew...thank goodness for an air pocket... I was starting to get a little worried"

L: "I was getting worried about you too... But anyway, hi! I didn't expect to meet someone on this dive!"

S: "Hi! Yeah me neither in all honesty! But I'm happy I got to meet someone... what's your name snake guy?"

L: "I'm Vint! And before you ask, it's a more traditional snake name, it's kind of uncommon. But anyway, who are you?"

S: "Vint...I like that name honestly! I'm Charmy, and I'm a charmander! Yes I'm a fire type but I love to swim and dive! I'm pretty good at it too"

L: "You sure seem that way, I can't imagine many fire types are confident enough about that to want to explore a shipwreck!"

S: "Hehe, I'm quite adventurous when it comes to this stuff, and I was certainly feeling that way today, this is actaully the furthest dive I've ever done, and I'm managing it quite well... I can hold my breath for a good while too"

L: "Probably not as long as me, I'm no exception to that whole "snakes are really good at holding their breath" thing. Think I was down about 12 minutes before we met, with my record being about 40."

S: "40 minutes?!?! Whoa...yeah definitely not as long as me, my record is a little over 16 minutes, heh...I'm kinda jealous about that"

L: "Hey, 16's still pretty good, especially for a fire type! Well, probably anyway, don't know how it really works with Pokemon."

S: "Uhhh yeah of course that good! There's probably no other fire type who can stay underwater for as long as me! Well, maybe my brother charmeleon could with a little more practice, but he can't handle the depths like I can"

L: "Maybe you ought to take him on some of your dives, and help him get a breath hold more like yours!"

S: "Yeah, I have been practicing with him and he's gotten a lot better since the first time he dived...but he still struggles with going deep, so I'm still working on that, hopefully with enough time he'll get better, I mean he too likes to swim from time to time as well"

L: "I'm not really too good with deeper water either, I don't blame him. Hopefully both of us will get better at dealing with the water pressure."

S: "I hope so too, I mean I can dive pretty deep already and the pressure while it does get to me a little, I can by pass it"

L: "Anyway, how about we keep looking through this wreck? I bet there'll be cool stuff deeper into it!"

S: "Oh totally! I have a good feeling we'll find something really cool! Oh and it's really nice to meet you Vint, you seem super nice, and kinda cute!" charmy gives vint a little hug, smiling cutely

L: "Same with you, I'm glad we happened to meet!" Vint hugs Charmy back, then starts breathing deeply to prepare.

S: "I'm glad we met too! Hehe!" charmy smiles as she starts to take some deep breathes as well to prepare

L: After a little while, Vint holds his breath and dives back down, eager to continue exploring.

S: charmy holds her own breath and dives back down as well, pinching her nose shut as she continues to explore around with vint

L: Vint starts to carefully head deeper into the ship, looking through each of the rooms he comes across.

S: charmy slowly follows vint deeper through the ship, looking in the rooms as well in case Vint somehow missed something in them

L: Vint idly lets some bubbles loose, wondering when - or if - something interesting will be found...

S: charmy let's some bubbles loose through her mouth, they then go to another room where there's a bunch of stuff all over the place

L: Vint smiles as he sees all that, and starts digging through it to see what's there.

S: charmy does as well, until she spots a waterproof piece of paper, holding it in her hand
"Mmm!" she gestures it to vint

L: "Mm!" The end of Vint's tail wags a little as he sees that, and he slithers next to Charmy to read what it has to say.

S: It's apparently a diary entry from a while ago when this ship sunk, it says
"Dear Diary, today may as well be my last day to be alive as I'm stuck on this ship deep underwater, I was thankful to find an air pocket space but now I'm completely lost and helpless...the air is already starting to run out and I can't swim either, I'm pretty much doomed... so if your reading this somehow, it was nice knowing you... goodbye forever"

charmy was heartbroken at the diary letter, even letting out a visible tear and whimpering

L: Vint pauses for a moment, sad about the letter as well... He gives Charmy a hug, sort of needing one himself as well.

S: charmy hugs vint back tightly, she couldn't believe this at all, and she felt really bad for the raboot who wrote this letter, whimpering out a few bubbles

L: After the hug, Vint resumes searching the room to try to take his mind off what the diary entry said, but it doesn't really work all that well.

S: charmy tries to take his own mind off of it, but it doesn't work too well... she soon points towards the air pocket so they can talk about it

L: Vint nods, and swims up into the air pocket with her. "Man, that was so sad, I didn't expect that at all... That poor raboot..."

S: charmy calms exhales when she surfaces
"Yeah, I didn't expect it either...that's terrible...and that entry date was a week ago too... poor little raboot...."

L: "At least we haven't found him... Maybe he ended up getting out after all? As unlikely as that is..."

S: "I doubt it, he said he couldn't swim...so I kind of doubt he made it...I be amazed if he was still alive, an air pocket doesn't usually last that long, unless he was on a bigger one"

L: "Yeah, I guess there's at least a chance... We'd better keep looking then, just in case he's still alive." Vint starts preparing for another dive.

S: "Good idea, and we'll try to find some more treasures too while we're at it"
charmy also starts to prepare for another dive too

L: Vint soon dives once more, continuing to look through the ship and hoping that the raboot is still okay.

S: charmy holds her breath and dives again as well, also hoping the raboot is somehow still ok...as they swim along, they find a couple of necklaces and other valuables along the way, charmy is currently wearing one of the necklaces...and then they stumble into another room, this one looks to be a master bedroom and a large air pocket right on top just like the letter said

L: Vint smiles, and swims up to catch his breath in this new air pocket. "There's a lot of air in this ship, huh?"

S: charmy catches her breath as well
"Apparently so... that's a good thing, I don't wanna drown or anything" charmy then sees something in the corner of the air pocket on a ledge
"Hey, what's that?"

L: Vint looks over as well. "Not sure, the light's not so good in here..." He goes over to whatever it is to get a better look.

S: charmy does too, and to both of their surprise, it's the raboot! Apparently this air pocket lasted the whole time the raboot was up here, they were laying in the corner sighing sadly, his stomach growling as he was hungry as well... secretly writing in his diary as well, not noticing vint and charmy approaching them

L: "Hang on, you're... You're that raboot, aren't you? We saw one of your diary entries!"

S: "No way, is it actaully them?!"

the raboot hears the voices of the two and immediately hides his diary book in his pocket, he turns around and sees them with tears in their eyes

Raboot - "Oh...thank goodness somebody finally found me, wait a minute how did you get one of my diary entries?"

L: "It was in a room nearby that had a lot of clutter and stuff in it. We weren't really sure you were gonna be alive when we found you!"

S: Charmy - "Yeah! I was starting to get really worried!"

Raboot - "...now how did it end up there...oh well, I thought at that time I was gonna be finished... but I guess the air in here is still breathable for now... but I'm feeling pretty weak now...I'm hungry and cold...and I thought I was just gonna die alone here... at least you guys found me..."

L: "What do you mean "at least"? We're getting you out of here, hold onto me!" Vint holds out his hands to the raboot.

S: Charmy - "Yeah your coming with us my friend!"

Raboot - "H-huh...wait...um... if you guys read my diary entry then you'll know I can't swim! I don't know anything about water, I'm not sure I can get outta here with you both..." the raboot looks at vint's hands, frowning...deep down he does wanna escape this place already

L: "We know, we can just carry you to the surface! All you'd have to do is hold your breath!"

S: Charmy - "Yep! Nothing to it! You do know how to hold your breath...right?"

Raboot - "I mean yeah, I've had to hold my breath one time when a toxic spill happened at my school... so I wouldn't breathe in the fumes..."

Charmy - "Ah, this'll be no different..."

Raboot - "I'm really scared to go down there, but I trust you guys..." the raboot then take a hold of vint's hands

L: Vint pulls the raboot into a hug, keeping him there. "Alright, take some deep breaths for a while to get your lungs ready, then once they are, we'll head under and get you back to the real surface!"

S: the raboot hugs vint back
"Okay... I'm so scared..."

Charmy - "You can do it! I believe in you! I'm a fire type too so I understand how you feel, but I promise you'll do great!"

Raboot - "I hope so..."

charmy starts to take some deep breathes to prepare, and after a little hesitation the raboot also starts to take deep breathes, making sure his diary is safe in his pocket for the journey ahead

L: Vint gets himself ready as well, hoping everything about this is going to go okay.

S: charmy is also hoping everything will be ok as well

the deep breathing goes on for quite a while as the raboot was pretty nervous to go under, but he tried to put on a brave face

L: Vint is eventually ready, but plans to wait until the raboot says they're ready.

S: after several more minutes of hesitation, eventually the raboot speaks up

Raboot - "O-o-ok...I think I'm ready..."

L: "Okay, here we go... You'll be out of here in no time!" Vint holds his breath and dives under, starting to quickly make his way back outside with the raboot.

S: the raboot tightly shut his eyes and holds his breath, holding onto Vint as they whimper out bubbles

charmy quickly gasps a deep breath and holds it before following the two down... with them being deep inside the ship it may be a while until they get out of it

L: Vint moves through the shipwreck as quickly as he safely can, not wanting the raboot to have to suffer through being underwater for any longer than they really need to.

S: charmy goes just as quick, then tries to gesture to the raboot to pinch their nose shut to help keep their air in

the raboot couldn't open their eyes as the water would likely sting them, so they didn't see what charmy told them

L: Vint changes his grip a bit to hold the raboot's nose for them, keeping them from losing quite as many bubbles. He hopes that him doing that won't scare them or anything.

S: while he was unsure why vint did that, the raboot relaxes as he was able to keep his air in a bit easier now, but he grunts from his need to breathe as his face turns fully red already, he's not the greatest at breath holding

seeing that made charmy nervous for the raboot as they still had a bit to go until they exit the ship

L: Gradually getting more nervous as well, Vint keeps going through the wreck, hoping it won't be a whole lot longer...

S: Soon the raboot's face is turning blue with constant bubbles escaping his mouth, but thankfully they are getting really close to the exit

charmy puts a reassuring hand on the raboot to try and calm them down, letting out some bubbles herself

L: "Hblang ibln thblere..." Vint figures he can spend a little air on trying to reassure the raboot as the group continues.

S: Charmy - "Hble cblant gblo mublch lonblger... bublt ybleah hblang tiblght..." charmy is getting a tiny blush with how nervous she is for the raboot

Raboot - "Mmmmblblblbl!!!!" the raboot covers his mouth as his face turns more blue, but they finally exit the ship! However they still had a long way to go to surface

L: Vint now swims straight for the surface as fast as he can, which is surprisingly quickly for a snake, worrying the raboot is going to run out of breath.

S: charmy has a bit of a hard time keeping up but manages fine as she follows vint upwards

with how unexpectingly fast Vint goes, the raboot's diary accidentally falls out of his pocket!
Raboot - "Mbly diblary! Mmmmm!!!" he covers his mouth again

L: Vint manages to catch the diary with his tail, though carrying it does slow him down a little. "Goblt iblt!"

S: Charmy - "Phblew..."

Raboot - "Thblank yblou..." even without opening his eyes, the raboot reaches back and takes the diary, putting it back in his pocket as his face turns purple now, hoping it won't be too much longer until they surface

L: Speeding up again, Vint keeps going for the surface, though now he's pretty much certain he'll be getting the raboot there in time.

S: the raboot whines and whimpers as he's getting close to his limit, charmy's face a little more red but thankfully the trio surface safely and the raboot gasps in heavily at the fresh air, charmy lightly gasps in as well

Raboot - "Hah....hah....fresh air?! I thought I would never see you again!"

L: Vint lightly gasps, having used a lot of oxygen on swimming so fast. "Sorry it took so long... But hey, you're gonna be able to go home now!"

S: Charmy - "Yep!"

Raboot - "Alright! Thank you both soooo much! I'll never forget this!" the raboot gives both of them a big group hug and smiles...charmy hugs him back while smiling as well

Charmy - "Your welcome my friend!"

L: Vint hugs the raboot back as well. "No problem! Now, let's head back to shore... And maybe get you something to eat too, you're probably pretty hungry after being stuck down there so long."

S: hearing vint say that made the raboot's stomach growl

Raboot - "I'm STARVING!!! I really need some food..."

Charmy - "Heh, yeah I bet"

the trio make their way to the shore, and the raboot happily steps onto the warm sands, sighing happily

L: Vint slithers out of the water, shaking some to dry himself off a little. "Guess we're gonna have plenty of money for all of us now with that treasure we found, huh?"

S: Charmy - "Ah right!" charmy pulls out the loot they found

Raboot - "Wow, you guys scored... let's get that stuff sold so we can go eat! I need food...NOW!!"

Charmy - "Alright Alright! Jeez!"

L: "Haha, calm down, we'll get you all the food you can eat! And we may as well get some for ourselves, too!"

S: "Yeah I could use some food!" charmy puts away her swim goggles

Raboot - "Well come on, let's go go go!"

L: Vint takes off his goggles as well. "Alright, come on!" He starts leading the way to the closest restaurant.

S: once they sold their items, they devour and feast on some food at the restaurant, the raboot eating a ton of food in the process, so happy that he is home on the surface safely
