"Kelp wrap"

A kelp forest is no place for a bird, as this one has found. Carelessly swimming through, it was inevitable that they'd get tangled in kelp, but that happening caused them to immediately panic, thrashing to try to get loose. Their struggles simply made things worse, more and more kelp wrapping around them until they almost couldn't move, wiggling their fingers and talons but nothing else. Looking up longingly at the distant surface as their face started turning blue, the bird's beak flew open and seawater flooded their lungs...
