With a set of goggles over his eyes and a full breath in his cheeks and strong lungs, Latios dove into the ocean for some sightseeing. About 11 minutes in, he happened to notice the telltale silhouette and glowing red markings of Kyogre off in the distance, and decided to swim over and greet them. Kyogre was a bit surprised to see Latios underwater, and chuckled. "Certainly out of your element today, huh Latios? If you'd like to swim with me, I wouldn't mind." Latios nodded, and tagged along despite his slowly growing need to breathe.
Another 20 minutes underwater, and Latios was really starting to struggle. He didn't want to interrupt his dive, but his lungs were burning and his cheeks were getting bigger, already half the size of his head. Kyogre looked over at him in concern. "Are you okay?" Despite Latios nodding, Kyogre didn't buy it. "You shouldn't push yourself. If you need air, head up and get some." Still not wanting to surface, Latios shook his head, but soon had to cover his mouth as his body started to shiver with the lack of oxygen.
"Don't drown yourself. Here, take some of my air." Kyogre, too, needed to breathe air, but could go several days without any, so giving some up was no issue. Quickly swimming in front of Latios, Kyogre opened their mouth and exhaled, a large bubble inflating from it. This enormous glob of air quickly became slightly bigger than Latios before Kyogre closed their mouth again, setting the bubble loose into the water for Latios to grab. Pressing his lips to the bubble, he inhaled as much as his lungs could hold, before exhaling a column of normal-sized bubbles from his nostrils and gasping more from the giant bubble. He repeated this a few times to properly refresh his lungs, the bubble shrinking each time, until he held his breath again. There was still some leftover air in a bubble the size of his head, so he held onto it as he and Kyogre resumed swimming, to eventually get a few more breaths from it.
