Liam had taken Taylor away from Zabokar once again, this time with her in full coherency and in complete control of her faculties. The first time, she was delirious and not even sure who she was or where she was. She was simply running away from a terror she had no words for. Liam knew she needed help and got here far away and safe from whatever or whoever was chasing her. When they met up again in Zabokar a couple years later, it was like meeting him for the first time all over again. When extending the offer to hide away from the world once more, Taylor gratefully accepted it, and so they headed out west beyond the forests and mountain ranges to the far reaches of the Balkar Desert.
It was here, in the loneliness of the barren plains and isolated beaches to the south, where Taylor began to fall in love. It wasn't something either of them had planned. Liam was just doing his duty and protecting someone in need, and Taylor was just trying to get away from a world gone mad where everything and everyone she interacted with met a bad end. Perhaps being alone somewhere with someone who knew how to survive and had her best interests at heart would be good for her. However, Liam had taken more than her heart. He had her love too. Perhaps, in the end, it was a passing phase and their romance wasn't meant to last. But in that moment, being so close next to him day in and day out, he grew on her to the point where she found him not only attractive, but desirable. So one day, pressed against the hood of his car, she popped the question on whether they should go steady. Ahya was obviously already on board with the notion! And so, something more was popped that night!
