featuring my character Kyaw Bits. This time it was a collab. I had noticed that both Kyaw and Mubba liked having tea parties, and since Mubba is a character who comes across as "ambiguously gay" I thought it would be really cute to have them playing together. I wrote up a script and Chippie widdled it down to something he could create a small comic about. Tasli is there to play the "straight man". Although Tea Parties is a conventionally "girly" activity, the boys here put a little male oriented "twist" on the old game, treating it as a way to negotiate an intergalactic peace treaty, with both Mubba and Kyaw playing the role of high ranking military officials. At the same time, we see that both are playing the role of prissy well mannered aristocrats, playing into the foppish nature of the characters and also giving it a double twist. Chippie seemed to like the concept. It's very rare for him to collab like this.
This comic is special and probably one of the best and most cooperative collabs we ever did. As per protocol, I have asked Chippie permission to post it here. Thus, every picture of Kyaw ever drawn can now be found in my gallery. This also may be one the very few pieces of Chippies original characters that can now be found on InkBunny. Enjoy.
One of the nicest things we ever worked on together. I think Kyaw and Mubba make a cute pair here, not that Kyaw and Sven don't have their own cute little dynamic. I just thought it be nice for Kyaw to be friends with a boy on his own "wavelength".
As I described it to Chip, Mubba is Kyaw's "girlfriend", as in, they are just like two girls who like chatting and gossiping together, but Sven is Kyaw's "boyfriend". He's friends with Mubba but he's in love with Sven :)
Mubba is just like another one of Kyaw's gal pals, only he's also a boy. Something I thought would make Kyaw feel a little better about himself.
