This is a story I created in the early part of 1995, about a civet, Nico, and a meerkat, Pancho, who encounter a family of extraterrestrials.
This story was greatly inspired by the Disney movie, The Lion King, which I had watched several times at the local theater a few months before I began work on the manuscript pages of the story. Had the Lion King movie never existed, this story would have never been thought of and existed as well.

After the few months of spare time it took me complete the manuscript, I attempted to get various publishers interested in printing it as a children's book.
The sad thing was, although my artwork is so outstandingly good, because of my not having a decent education, my skills in grammar, spelling and punctuation were terrible at the time I created the story.
I believe my poor writing and grammar skills at the time were what killed any chances of getting a book of my story published, though the publishers would never tell me that was the reason why they showed no interest.
Back during the time I was growing up, I had a learning deficit disorder. That and failing two prior grades were largely the cause of the school board not allowing me to continue attending school short of completing the 8th grade...Missing some time from school due to an ATV accident I had was sort of the last straw as far as the school system was concerned. I actually witnessed the school principal telling my parents that trying to further educate me would be a waste of tax payer's dollars. May 4th, 1970 was the last day I ever sat in a school classroom. That was 3 days after I turned age 16.

It was almost 10 years after I created the story (sometime not long after the year 2000) that someone pointed out to me the mistakes I had made in the story portion of my manuscript. And within the last 15 to 20 years ago, I learned quite a bit about proper grammar and punctuation, which is what I should have learned more than 50 years ago...However, I still to this day have to look up words a lot for proper spelling.

There are also a few pages that I was able to enhance some details in the artwork, thanks to the technology of personal computers and a drawing tablet.
On one of the enhanced versions of a page in this story, I was able to redo the text from a computer. Back in 1995, text was added by typing it on a smaller piece of paper using a typewriter, then pasting that paper to a corresponding manuscript page with a glue stick.

I've also come a long way within the past 5 to 7 years learning how to manage artwork files.
Ten years ago, I did not know how to crop a drawing.
I didn't know how to copy and paste, or import parts from another drawing.
I didn't know how to enlarge or reduce the size of a drawing.

I have posted copies of this story back in 2014 on my main account. Back then, the three examples linked below was the only way I knew how to do it. I only knew how to go with what the camera gave me.

Plus the pages were photographed with the cheap and cheezy Cannon brand camera I had back then.
The cover page to that upload has been edited a few years ago.

The only other way I knew was to position the camera to loose the text and parts of the drawings, as seen in the example below.

Since those days 10 years ago, I have come a long way with that.

And the camera I've had for the past several years is a good quality Nikon camera that one of my sisters had gotten for me one Christmas.
