Chucky now has the burden of telling his friends about his experience with Gwendolyn. But the more important thing is that he's cracking the window into a world that he didn't know existed until a few days ago.
Careful, Gabby. I don't think you want to accidentally get on Gwendolyn's bad side. After all, she's significantly more experienced than you are (in more ways than one).

Ok this bring up something I think you've touched on but if you answered it I don't remember so here go: Given that the witches have to meet in secret how much DO the people of towns like this actually KNOW about the witches and warlocks and how dangerous is this for Gabby to be just blurting out that she is one and that Chucky knows the witches. I'm going to hope that Chucky's friends are open minded enough to trust when Chucky say it's ok but their reaction tells me that they DO know of the witches or have heard enough rumors and speculation to know they MIGHT be real, and for them it's just been proven.

They're a middle ages culture, so their beliefs and knowledge of magical creatures is that of superstition, fear, and distrust. Gabby is very bold, she probably shouldn't be as free with her magic as she is. But her statement to Chucky about most people not believing what they see is accurate, unless it's right in front of them. She kinda hides in plain sight as a goofy eccentrically dressed teenager who likes tarot cards, which is exactly what she is except that she can do it for real(as opposed to the hundreds of charlatans milking folks out of money for some card tricks). Few people pay any mind to her at all.

"Hiding in plain sight!" is a brilliant stratagy for one like her to use. And it proves she's a LOT smarter and cleverer that most people would think her to be. :D

Yeah, Gabby is pretty bright. Most of Gwendolyn's peers hide in plain sight, or at least live somewhere that's more accepting toward them. Gwen and Count Lucas are the only two who live completely isolated from society, they are also the only two who've extended their lives by centuries.

Truthfully, I cannot imagine Chucky and Gabby doing anything sexual. She said that she is going to find someplace to go to sleep. And Chucky is already deeply in love with Gwendolyn and considers her his girlfriend.
I'm thinking that Gabby just wanted to meet him, and perhaps do a tarot card reading for him. Besides, Chucky has to get to school.
