I would like to note that, while it may just be the angle, the center stripe on Alvin's face is barely visible and leaves him looking like one of the teletubbies. (those colored creatures with completely white faces)

This kiss, with the LENS FLAIR right between them,reminds me of that scene in True Lies where Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis kiss right as the nuclear bomb goes off in the Florida Keys. It's so completely staged but God Damn it it works..just like this one! :D This is truly outstanding in every way...especially for someone who can't draw. ;D

The coloring here is wonderful. All the black, diffused by the stage lighting just so, gives a certain "grit" in this pic that reminds me of real concert footage. The coloring on the characters copies this effect.

I mean the lighting just looks perfect because it looks like they are on stage and fans and photographers are happily snapping pictures of these two kissing.

Every time I see your art I become incredibally jellous (sp?) Of your abilities. I know you have a lot of raw tallent but how did you get past the initial I hate not ever coming close to what my mind pictures and forging ahead to become such a great artist? Instead if the oposite? Or have you not ever been there? How did you start down the path? How would you suggest someone else start down it when they have little or no confidence in their abilities? Any books or other materials you can suggest to help them out?
I think the thing I like the most about this perticular piece is the lack of small details such as seeing the individual hair/fur. To me leaving out those small details just makes it feel more like raw-primal emotion than anything else.
