"Trick-or-Treat! Smell my feet! Give me something good to eat!"
From those who capture spirits, to one who is a spirit. Trick 'r Treat is one of my favorite films for the Halloween season. It's just so drenched in the Halloween aesthetic and overt love of the holiday that not much else puts one into the spooky spirit quite like it! It does my heart good these days to see what was a sadly overlooked cult film get some much needed love and attention too. The fact that Sam has now bloomed into a Halloween icon worthy of a permanent space within Spirit Halloween stores and limited theatrical runs just really does my heart good! Of course as one who is the embodiment of the holiday itself, Sam was obviously a contender for a slot within the Final Five; sadly though, he just missed out... So it leaves one to wonder. Who could possibly best the spirit of Halloween in a Halloween Countdown? Are they all worth the wait or am I just a nutter who doesn't know what he's talking about? Well, I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see~
