Due to a mysterious link between Spike and Twilight, the Main 6 can access certain powers of the Elements of Harmony as long as they are with Spike and only for a limited time.
Applejack becomes partially imbued with the power of dragon fire when she is amplified. Unlike Pinkie Pie, Applejack can control when and where she uses this power. She can even snuff them out on command. Her fire does not burn at first. The fires that she creates only burn when a creature tells a lie. For example: saying you didn't take a cookie when you did will cause you to get burned. However, this ability doesn't work if a being truly believes what they are saying is the truth. If a creature says they see three lights instead of two and believe they do, it won't get burned. These flames also burn away any 'physical lie' as in anything used to cover up or disguise a being's true self. Some examples include makeup, disguises, and artificial coverings. This ability is very useful but can be very harmful given some unique circumstances.
Spike, amplified with Applejack, becomes brutally honest in almost every respect. If he has an opinion, he will speak it with no filter. If he's willing for some action, he'll make it known. If he's ready for some action, any hint of subtlety is thrown out the window and left to die in a ditch. Spike does gain a lasso for his personal use. This lasso cannot be destroyed and will stretch to the length necessary to capture Spike's target fully. He uses this for some interesting dialogue during a fight.
