Due to a mysterious link between Spike and Twilight, the Main 6 can access certain powers of the Elements of Harmony as long as they are with Spike and only for a limited time.
Like Twilight, Rarity also has any mental blocks removed while in this state. However, unlike Twilight, who can fully utilize her raw magic power, Rarity is allowed to focus her magic to terrifying results. While amplified, her normal sense of generosity is bolstered in a particular way. Rarity gains a sixth sense that can tell if a being requires something. If she focuses on this, she can get a more accurate detailing. It's not something very detailed, though. She won't be able to tell you that you're in the early stages of a disease or that you've hitten some very hard times. She can, however, describe where you need to be to get your necessity or what to do for you to get them. If it's within her ability to do so, she can be the one to give you what you need. Also, should the need arise, Rarity can use her new ability and magic to lend someone her magic. Rarity can also give someone her life force to save them if dire events happen. However, while healing the recipient, doing this shaves of time from Rarity's life.
Spike, on the other hand, becomes more generous than usual. Unlike Fluttershy, he doesn't give out second chances because he is forced to, but because he's guided to. While he can still choose a more violent route, this state allows him to think like Rarity and see other possibilities than he could before. He, too, can focus his draconic magic on performing feats that he wouldn't have thought possible. Spike even theorized he could take on at least one fully powered blast from a normal Twilight. He can also grant other beings his magic, though only in small portions. He can't, however, give his life force to heal someone.
