I decided to revisit Hanna-Barbera's 'Monster Tails' series this year to draw Dr. Veeny and Mr. Schnide. :3
Dr. Veeny is the dog belonging to Dr. Jekyll. Like his owner, Dr. Veeny can transform into a monster from time to time. In Dr. Veeny's case, the transformation happens whenever Veeny sneezes. ^^
And, yes, I spelled the names correctly, in spite of how Wikipedia and the Monstar Tails fan wiki spells them (at time of writing, the names are misspelled as 'Dr. Veenie and Mr. Snyde'). I know my spellings are correct because I found an original production size reference of the characters: https://sta.sh/01mrvt01tesv
Hopefully, someone with access will correct the spellings. :3
Anyway, 'Monster Tails' was part of the live-action skit show: 'Wake Rattle and Roll' (WRnR). I would see WRnR on The Disney Channel on occasion. The series is mostly lost media, albeit some episodes and clips endure.
The featured pencil is advertising the Jekyll & Hyde Club (JnHC). The JnHC is a spooky-themed restaurant in New York.
I read this in the restaurant's Wikipedia article. I found it amusing so I'm sharing it here. ^^
From Frank Bruni (a New York Times columnist),
'"We all waited 15 minutes before getting in the door and registering with the host, cleverly dubbed a “scare traffic controller.” We waited another 35 minutes before being seated. At the Jekyll and Hyde Club there are fake corpses strewn here and there, and the restrooms are behind trick walls made to look like bookshelves. The restaurant is amusing one moment, insufferable the next, much like its pint-sized patrons... At our table, 15 minutes elapsed before a server bothered to deal with us. But during that delay, performers passed by. One was dressed in a manner that perhaps evoked a vampire, or maybe a mad scientist, or maybe just a hobo. I couldn’t quite tell. Following an obviously practiced script, he told Gavin and Bella that they weren’t nearly as annoying as he’d expected them to be. The remark puzzled them. Even little children know misguided humor when they hear it..."
Bruni described the tomato sauce as "red-tinged water" and the burgers as overpriced theme park cuisine, although they were cooked as requested.'
It's wikipedia, YOU can address the correct spellings and provide a link to your source!
Also, FUN FACT: 'Launch' from Dragonball Z was apparently based off of this character, but the same interview also notes that Krillin can breathe through his skin, so...

I've also never heard of it but it's an interesting premise. I'll have to check it out.
I'd LOVE to get a pencil from that club even if it is a bit sub-par according to that critic and in going with the theme here's a song by one of my favorite bands : https://youtu.be/kjib_Z5wssM
