There are things I can't draw ...no shit, right? I mean, I really cannot draw at all, but some things I REALLY can't draw!
Pokemon are among those things. ^^
Anyway, we're beginning October with a scary monster: a Pocket Monster, specifically (not to be confused with 'Monster in My Pocket'). ^^
I'd drawn Bulbasaur teasing a Vulpix with some grapes not too long ago. That card was up about ...20 minutes or so before it literally made my stomach sick, forcing me to delete it. I hate this drawing, too, but I want to go beyond it already---I'm done with this subject; I don't want to see it again. :p
Pencil...
The featured pencil is a Japanese Pokemon Battle Pencil (PBP): Venusaur Edition.
PBPs could be used to play some kind of game. As of writing, I've been unable to find the rules in English, though suffice it to say the game involved two players each either rolling or spinning a PBP until the pencil stopped, revealing a side that displayed whatever attack/move to be performed that turn (yes, pencils can be played like dice). :P
Again, each respective attack (etc) would be determined by whatever was written on the 'up' *sides of the pencils. That's effectively the extent of my knowledge insofar as the specifics of the gameplay. ^^
*the barrels are round, albeit each PBP had a plastic cap with flat sides to hold the pencil in place, so to determine which attacks (etc) were rolled, and to keep the moves from changing.
The featured pencil is a Venusaur with 100HP, and six moves I can't read. ^^
This image (borrowed from eBay) is from a 90's edition of CoroCoro Magazine, showing some of the PBPs that were made (seems the Venusaur pencil was from Series 2): https://sta.sh/01t69j8vgxs7
And, no, Venusaur isn't my favorite---it's just I happened to snipe this pencil for $0.99 ^^
Anyway, battle pencils weren't limited to the Pokemon franchise---Street Fighter Battle Pencils were also available (though I've not yet found one at a price I'm willing to pay). There were likely other franchises featured as well. :3
Same, insofar as my starter preferences (that said, I've played only Red, Blue and Yellow---the last of which I used only Pikachu as much as possible). :3

Born in the early 1980s... I was a young man when the internet became mainstream and changed the world. Presently, I'm living through some of the early consequences of that (ie, wokism)---a period in history that will be written about as extensively as WWII (just wait a few decades). With a life expectancy of 70 years, I'll likely die sometime in the 2050s. If I ever become a 'known' person, they'll say of me, "Chippy died in the 50s ...he lived/died during times when (yadda-yadda)" ...I feel old, dead, and obsolete already. :p
I kinda look at the 1980s/1990s the same way I look at the 1880s/1890s. The century was turning and life was changing for everyone. Later came the industrial revolution and so forth---those born decades before were watching the world change in profound ways. Same for me: I'm watching my world change in profound ways---many of my views and so forth are already considered 'wrong' by the current generation; I'm an old machine with outdated software, collecting dust, doomed to die completely sometime in the mid-century. :3
Oh so old... Born in the early 1980s... I was a young man when the internet became mainstream and c
What about me?? I am from the late 70's! *hysterical sobbing* - Yeah, I find myself having to accept certain things that weren't an issue back in my day now are considered very important to others. Gender identity is one of those things. A lot of stuff from our youths is obsolete. It also took me a while to get used to the way modern visual media and games are made. Compared to the movies I grew up with today's movies seem very fast paced, loud, and visually intense. I seem to be adjusting because older movies are beginning to bore me more with their slow pacing. Or I am just growing old and my attention span is degrading. (whines)... I could write an endless essay about this whole subject. :-)

"---a period in history that will be written about as extensively as WWII (just wait a few decades)." - They'll write about those crazy people who operated their own vehicle and actually went and burned fossil fuels to make it run. They'll be amazed about how we did menial tasks ourselves instead of our robot maid. They'll be horrified by our narrow views about gender and marriage. Etc., etc.
EDIT: And laugh at how floundering about in low orbit was actually called space-flight.
