A wonderful commission featuring Ixen and Yori, Yay~ :done by O-ishi
On a walk! Won't be the only one~ But seems this one is a bit...noisy haha~

When you have to live with one who's for all intents and purposes a genius within your own world, least when it comes to magic, sparking a conversation that leads to a disagreement over it can lead to very obvious consequences. Especially when that disagreement involves Yori.

Making their way down, traveling to a market only a few malms away, the pair passed by a kethana mage hailing from Melvania, the school most well known for their focus on the combat applications of magic. The small combat mage wasted no time in perusing Ixen's magic abilities as they passed by, noting the dragon as being a rather well known member of the department of magical affairs.

Despite the good will shown at the start however, the small mammal began to critique his abilities when it came to magic, claiming them to be under the needed par for joining. It quickly devolved to calling him out on getting in on name and clout alone, where the jewel carrying rodent tried to goad him into a fight.

Ixen, being one to mostly ignore claims and jests like that from random strangers, identified it immediately as a way to bait him, something he refused to do, especially with Yori being present without a shield on her person. Should it get out of hand, she'd have no protection and could potentially be hurt. Thus, with a reluctant sigh, Ixen pushed them away, turning the duel request down.

That choice however, lead to a different problem that he did now consider. As he walked away from the now very annoyed kethana, Yori herself likewise became annoyed at Ixen for turning the challenge down. "Why didn't you teach that little bitch a lesson!" And "you could have put them in their place immediately if you wanted to! So what the hell?! My hus- I mean, a dragon serving as my servant shouldn't be so weak willed as to go taking that kind of crap!!"

Sadly, this continued on for quite awhile, with Ixen regretting that he forgot about Yori's competitive spirit and drive in the heat of the moment. Still, while she listed off all the different points and ways Ixen could and should have shown up the little twat, he did what he could to ignore her, knowing it was entirely his fault for what was happening. Deep down though, he couldn't exactly find it in himself to be too mad though. Yori's competitive nature was something he admired and loved about her, even if misplaced at times.
