This one's kinda smudgy and scratchy, but, in fairness, this wasn't intended to be uploaded---it was a (in fact, my only) practice sketch ...but I decided to tighten it up and upload it anyway. :p I drew it with a soft, dark pencil----which is risky (kinda like drawing with ink), but I didn't have to erase too much from this (all things considered).
Anyway, the subject is Phineas from 'Once Upon a Forest' (OUaF).
Phineas was the preacher bird from a brief sequence ...that I think was intended to be funny (I dunno). Either way, the scene was certainly memorable. :3
One-Cent ACO has visited OUaF before (in the form of Abigail), so nothing new here. I like the movie---I acknowledge it's a bit sentimental and PSA-heavy, but (for a furry like me) it's good eye candy. ^^
To see Phineas in action, click here (link tested 09/18/2022): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFL1_Vmf3MY (and, yes, he's voiced by Ben Vereen---the guy who played Mayor Ben from Zoobilee Zoo) ^^
...Gosh, I'm old! :p
Pencil...
The featured pencil is an American-made 'Prosperity' model from J.S. Staedtler.
I dunno much about it. I know this line was around in the 1940s (this would be a post-WWII specimen), and seems fairly uncommon. I really have nothing to say about this one, other than it seemed right for Phineas (given his preaching style: charismatic and worldly). ^^
