This is a sloppy sketch of Solomon the Supersonic Salamander (the line art looked better before I went over it). I drew this card several weeks ago, but decided it wasn't good enough for upload. I kept the card despite ...and chose to upload it today because (honestly) it's no worse than anything else in my gallery, and I don't really feel like drawing anything new right now.
That said, I am VERY likely to feel self-conscious about this upload and therefore MAY delete it once I make a new drawing ...so if your taste in art is low enough to want to save this, I'd advise doing so soon. :3
Anyway...
Solomon was a puppet character who appeared in a stage play of 'Psalty the Singing Songbook'. Solomon was later given the lead role in a spinoff series creatively named 'Solomon the Supersonic Salamander': https://www.psalty.com/solomon-the-supersonic-salamande...
I cherish Psalty (and have drawn him several times over the years), but Solomon ...I don't really care or know much about. :p
Pencil...
The featured pencil is the 'Flash' from Eagle Pencil Co. Judging by the name, I'd presume this pencil was formulated for speed writing, but as this one is unsharpened, I may never know for sure. Either way, the 'Flash' features a wide-top eraser with a plastic ferrule.
When did this come out, and does a certain blue hedgehog know about this? Granted it's nowhere NEAR any kind of plagiaristic intent but wow... And he IS cute in your style so I saved it. :)
Speed Writing? And specific pencils JUST for that purpose? I'm gonna have to check this out just to satisfy my overactive curiosity. :)

Oh I DO remember those. They got discontinued but were brought back recently according to their web site. I LOVED those pencils. They were every thing they clamed and more. I just wish they would replace the pink eraser with a plastic one or at least offer the option to replace it with a plastic one if you chose to do so.
Also I had to look "celerity" up as I've never heard that used anywhere. :D
