Better late than never.

Gene's dressed in his patriotic summer attire, and has with him a sparkler.

Eagle '1778' wide-top pencil. The date likely refers to the American Revolutionary War.

Oh, the fireworks are that way. I was wondering where that noise was coming from. Thanks, Gene. And happy 4th! I spent it the way I always do, in my soundproofed basement theater with my dogs watching the movie Independence Day.

One of Gene's favorite holidays. Mostly due to how it panics all the local canines.

Z likes Timmy despite the fact I've not drawn him in an age. ^^

Your characters leave an imprint; you can bet I'm not the only one that would welcome his return.

Happy 2 Days After the 4th.
Got a bit behind and kinda forgot to check things. :)

A pencil dated two years after 1776 seems to be fitting since this is two days after the 4th. :D

XD

There's no end of patriotic pencils, esp. of those made during and after WWII (so I suppose they were getting desperate for references).

I have a Canadian-made Eagle which seems to have a V-mail logo on it ...which is odd if it was intended for sale in Canada.
