I was looking through art I had collected and came across a cache of scott_ruggels art. His lanky girls got me wanting to draw something in his style. This just kinda fell out of my hand. Didn't really have a theme initially, but then I added another character. Then another... Next thing you know, you have the Wolf King, forced to bow to the Vulpine Queen after a failed attempt on her life.
I guess it all depends on what kind of inspiration the artist gets. Some get an idea, then have to work out all the details before doing the drawing. Then, the next drawing he does, the same artist gets an idea and before he knows it, the drawing is completed in one sitting.
Take me with my writing. In the same story, I've taken a month to complete one chapter and then, a few chapters later, I hand write the chapter in two days (time constraints from working). I write all my chapters by hand before typing them. It gives me a bit more leeway with what I want to say.

The strange thing is that the Vulpine queen doesn't look as angry at the wolf king as her servants do. Maybe she's thinking that she needs a mate and his boldness is what she's looking for OR, on the other hand, she may want to give him something he'll never forget and have a hard time explaining to his subjects how a "weak" vulpine managed to leave such a large scar across his chest and belly.
