Now we're out of the couples consisting solely of characters I made up (either for this art exercise or, in the majority of cases, simply already had) and into collaborative pairs. Milo and Thistle are a feral lion played by me and a feral hyena played by my girlfriend Bella respectively, and we gave each other's characters their names.
First name I thought of for a female spotted hyena was "Spike" but I figured that was too obvious, then I thought of "Thorn" and while cooler and better, still didn't feel right. Then I landed on "Thistle", which while clearly denoting the same thing (small, sharp pokey bits on a plant) just has a more gentle, subtle, and feminine feel to it. I have no idea why she chose the name Milo, but I do know she really, really likes lions - and indeed, almost all the times minor lion-like traits have manifested on my main fursona have been directly influenced by this.
I definitely had to make Milo match my summer coat if he was going to resemble my fursona at all. The winter coat would be wholly inappropriate and look like someone else in specific.
These two are just slightly too wild and natural for physical jewelry, but they do have a very un-realistic-wildlife like attitude towards fidelity. Both were rejected by their home groups and struggled to get enough meat to survive solo, then teamed up.
