Background/History
In his previous life, Roh was a powerful royal samurai. While his name was never recorded, stories of his accomplishments and duties are well preserved. He was given the name Roh by chance encounters with those who saw his spirit, the name being a derivative of spirit from the islands south of Yurashia.
He was stuck wandering the lands for centuries, forgetting his old appearance in favor of finding out what duty he left unfulfilled. The world passed on without him, until the fateful day when he heard a soul cry out. Going to investigate, he found a young jackal unconscious near a shrine. He reacted on instinct and possessed the body, bringing it to a hospital. Unfortunately the jackal had a busted aneurysm that had gone undetected, and the blood loss was too great to fix; if Roh left the body, the jackal would officially die.
Despite the uneasiness at first, Roh took pity on the young man being taken before his time, and forged a sort of partnership which eventually grew into a soul bond. They used the same body together for over twenty years, helping each other with their goals, including finding Roh's missing outfit after hearing about the exhibit in the news.
That incident has them somewhat wanted by local police, as they stole the outfit after being denied the claims of Roh's origin. The chase resulted in them losing the shoes to it, but after some thinking they agreed going barefoot would be better in the long run.
It would be about twenty years later that the jackal would decide to move on, feeling as though he hit his goals, meager as they were. He gave Roh full ownership of the body, departing to the afterlife, with best wishes that he'd see his friend eventually.
Roh now wanders the lands as a zombie, his spiritual presence allowing the body to maintain most of its composure. However heat does make him uncomfortable, as he has to focus harder to keep the body from being effected and decomposing.
It would come to pass he'd take up a student in the art of swordplay, though said student would eventually become the villain Infinite, which he regrets but refuses to dwell on. Instead he helps those afflicted by the war.
Abilities:
Roh was trained in a very unique style of swordplay: the insect dance style. Rather than cutting, it is a style that focuses on stabbing, the user visualizing their movements as akin to insects like butterflies and centipedes. It's fast, ruthless, sometimes unseen. He has only become stronger as a zombie, due to the vessel having less constraints. Coupled with his striking cape, the inside of which appearing like a butterfly's wings, earned him the nickname "Butterfly Warrior"
