Natalia Ruyemov was not just a common warrior of her people. She also specialized in tracking as well. There would be many times she would be sent on ahead to scout out their quarry and devise the easiest path for the rest of her comrades to ambush their objective. She was excellent at keeping a low profile and going undercover if need be. All skills she will be putting to good use throughout the book series.
