Nresiil and various other explorers and agents operating in civilized space often bring some highly concealable weapons and equipment for their protection, where discretion could be highly useful, or whenever they don't want to bother themselves with all kinds of gear.

This classic weapon, made out of interestellar spaceship-grade materials, is packaged with high-tech methods to fit even into small pockets, and can deploy into a weapon ready with some ammo with one strong movement of the arms and hands.
This crossbow is adjusted for the strangth of Nresiil and can shoot bolts of less than two grams at more than 600 km/h, featuring in-flight expanding monomolecular-sharp broadheads for short-range self-defense.

Various other kinds of these cards and small items exist, for example he has a spare card that mechanically transforms into purely bolts for this crossbow.

I mean, if the card material iiis hard enough...you could just throw it at an opponent and stab him with it XP
Like the hat of the body guard in gold finger XD

Great drawing and nice concealed weapon designed ^^

Indeed, if it would be sharp like these bolt heads, but that would make storage a lot more difficult, also you'd only have one ammo, hehe

Also thanks for your comment ^^

Hum...i'm sure there could be a way to make that one ammo come back...like a belt my character have in pathfinder. You can put weapons in the sheath built in the belt and every time you throw that weapon it come back automatically to it's associated sheath XD

What could be used to reproduce that ? ....hmm...magnets ?

That would be a fun weapon to adventure with, quite a tricky tool too :3
Hmm, maybe some kind of tether that is suspended parallel just outside our 3d space could be practical and versatile, feasible in my setting, but sadly it would give up on some concealability because inter-space (in other words extra.dimelsional) travel is energy-intensive and easy to detect by relatively modern tech.

Hmm....I have read a bit about the stealth system of the normandy in mass effect and it's purpose is actually to hide energy displays if I understood right...would it be possible to miniaturize such a  tech for that purpose ?

Hmm, I guess it needs to contain the sources of the emissions, which could mean considerable additional bulk to the device, but could work.
Active scanners at shorter ranges can still pick up small residual energies though I would imagine, which purely mechanical things don't have :)

This is the most spy gadget thing ever xD

Yep, that's the sort of general idea, a covert ops tool, maximizing concealability on this one :3

This almost looks like something out of a video game.

I could imagine it being a silent sidearm, also useful in rpg's in situations where you want to appear unarmed but are secretly not :)

I really like the idea of this sort of sly weaponry, I think you did a really good job with the concept.

Thank you!
I like to think about such concepts based on other, more basic aspects of my setting, such as advanced materials and precision engineering.

I love the concept here
