Yup, setting the "moral grounds" on body pleasure is simply stupud and illogical, especially comming with excuse of "Mother Nature is against it". If body wants it - give it what it wants! No need to be a prude. Now the other side of the spectrum of this debate is whether the partner agrees to participate and achieve the pleasure. Being free means keeping in mind that your freedom ends where starts the freedom of someone else. And as I said under previous page - morals tend to change every decade or so.

This may just be the result of my mind being, almost constantly, in the gutter...but I suddenly suspect Lynn is going to end up on the receiving end of everyone's "attention" to cheer her up.

urges and needs exist for a reason, its like breathing or eating. the body may be basic but it knows what it wants... your body lacks iron, it craves foods with it like liver and spinach.. if it has to much it craves onions and garlic... you hurt yourself? the body says "dont do that stupid! something is wrong" if sex would be bad we woudl be extinct

I understand were Lynn is comeing from on one hand and on the other theres nothing at all wrong with owning your own body. it just goes to show that even in a circle of anchient magical types you can still have phisisophical disagreements

it is a bit one sided...but there not being cruel about it either XD we have to question our own morality on the subject as well, were told a thing is a serten way but what makes it so?
Exploring mental vistas is always an interesting exercise.
Now when does the cute porcupine witch teach me lightning magic so I can use it to get even more cute girls and boys off? ;3
you know the proper use of the arcane ;3

I feel bad for her now. Her opinion isn't wrong, but then neither is theirs? I suppose it's how you look at it. This is very much how those that agree with this stuff feel and are viewed, but now it's reversed. I understand that those that are against it feel they have the moral high ground and are probably helping, and for some they probably are. But at the end of the day, it's the individual person that has to speak from their own heart and their own mind, not let the words of another speak for them.

You see, when it comes down to moral grounds, it's just same as opinions and religions. Or as one old phrase well put it: "Your opinion is like your genitalia. You have it, I have it, everyone have it. But shoving your genitalia into someone else's face without their consent is very rude and you can get beaten for it."
You can't and should not force your perspective of the world on someone else and say "it's the only right way", nobody should, cuz then the world becomes onesided. Yet somehow, some sorts of morals become a law (which changes all the time, depending on views of those who currently rule) and now forced on everybody else.
And from my experience, those with "high morals" and "trying to help", are often doing more damage than good, jumping to unnecessary conclusions, fighting the battles they are not welcome into and ruining lives of people that did nothing wrong.
There's of cource those who trully helped, but they aren't running around, beating themselves in the chest, telling everyone how to live, they simply serve and protect those who can't do it themselves.
And yes, you very much right - the individual must speak for themselves, not get someone else to put words in their mouth.

Lynn is speaking from motherhood and the desire to protect her children from the dangers of the world which she's seen probably first hand. We need to know a bit more about her before we can judge where her 'moral' attitude came from. I like her a lot ( hell I like everyone in this group so far ) but if she had some experience that tainted her world view then she's totally justified in what she's feeling.
She just has to be careful her concern and protective nature doesn't devolve into this : https://youtu.be/n_yRvxy9HVs ;)
btw, THIS is THE definitive version of this song PERIOD! imo! ;D

I agree, this IS the best version of this song! I remember recording it from the TV when I was a teenager by setting my boombox right in front of the TV speaker. Another reason to love YouTube now.

"I would have relished the experience, and reflected on it with a yearning for more" Yelis says if he had been in Chucky's place. I keep imagining Chucky eagerly sitting on that chair with a Lacamagaric mushroom underneath the next time he's with Gwendolyn.
I find that Yelis is becoming my favorite in this group, and even though he's in his 50s, I hope he gets to have an equally fulfilling, pleasurable experience like Chucky has had.

As much as I agree that sex isn't something that should be held back because it causes more mental stress than most realize, I firmly believe it is not a basic need, that is borderline incel talk, like how people (incel is a mindset not a specific gender or sex, anyone can be one) assume they are owed sex because they are "nice" or "worthy" or "deserving... Sorry to be nitpicky about this one thing, its just rather negative to assume its a basic need or right, its good to relieve oneself if you feel the desire enough, but its not something that everyone will, can or should get, if that makes sense.
Feel free to reprimand me if I am mistaken, it just got to me how it was worded is all.

Ha ha, I love the word incel, it gets used on the next page. Dr. Selkirk isn't implying that sex is owed to anyone, but that the desire is natural and should not be shamed or stigmatized.

Oh thank goodness, I was hoping my initial sleepy headed read through was wrong, I re-read it and it read more like it was something that shouldn't be shamed, rather than the initial point, whew, also thanks for the clarity X3
