Feeling safe in your parents arms. That is one of the joys of a child. Knowing that those arms wrapping around and holding you belong to someone who loves you unconditionally. That feeling of comfort, safety and pure elation at physical contact with a person so special to you is beyond compare. It was these rare moments that Taylor missed the most. She recalled being that goofy preteen stumbling around the backyard, getting scuffed and playing ball against the fence, hearing that call from her mother to come inside for some lemonade. It was a hot spring day. Murana would retreat to her bedroom and rest, the cancer keeping her weak and Taylor was occupied with the drink. Taylor knew something was wrong with her mom during these moments of quiet, but Murana hid it well. She did not want her daughter to worry about her. So, Taylor snuck into her bedroom and crawled up along the bed, waking her mom up for some snuggles. Even Ahya adored these times of physical affection and did all she could to get close to their mom, even if it was just licking and getting drool all over Murana. She didn't care though. These were her babies and she was going to love them until the end of time.
