These are closer views of the radio and one of the window fans owned by Albert and Margret Rhonson Coyote back during the late 1950s and early 1960s.

On the radio, a 1959 Zenith S-41876, note the 2 Civil Defense frequency locations on the AM dial.
One of the CD locations between 60 and 70. The other CD location between 120 and 140.

As for the fan, Wizard along with other manufacturers made good, sturdy, solid built fans back in the day.

I miss my grandfather's old radio. I didn't appreciate it at the time, but kids don't really appreciate things.

My grandmother had one of those Philco radios built back in the 1940s, with the case made of thick plastic. I used to listen to it whenever I spent weekends and summers at her house. I was surprised it still had the original tubes and worked in the 70s and 80s. It only had an AM dial, but the music sounded great.
