Seems a neighborhood kid has caught Tasli tagging a wall.
FOXBOY (sounding out the tag): "'Tahs-Lee'. Right?"
TASLI: "That's my name, don't wear it out!"
The featured pencil is a long-ferruled ad pencil from the early 1900's. It's almost unreadable, but the name on it is 'Schwahn-Seyberth': a maker of equestrian leather goods (such as harnesses).
I drew this cartoon with the pencil, but that's not why I'm featuring it.
WATCHER: "You know I've been seeing Tasli's name as Tasil as long as I've known him"
WATCHER2: "His is the type of name you can get wrong and swear to God that it was spelled correctly. "
:P
Well, some think Gene's a canine, and some think Tasli is a Tasil---and some crazy folks think I can write and draw! XD
Anyway, some names (like the one on the pencil) are hard to read.
I hadn't noticed the first watcher hadn't spelled 'Tasli' correctly in any of their old comments (I went over several).
I don't see particularly well, so the '-li' part can blur for me (as I guess it does for others).
To clarify, Tasli's name is spelled T-A-S-L-I, and is pronounced 'Tahs'lee' (two syllables).
Tasli is named after J.C. from 'The Seventh Brother' and its sequel, 'Tiny Heroes' (1997). In the Hungarian version of the movies, J.C.'s name is 'Tasli'.
I greatly prefer the Hungarian version of the films, as they were not censored for American sensitivities (esp. the first one). I wanted an OC named after one of the main characters from the movies, and chose 'Tasli'.
