I hear people say such interesting things. When discussing neurology, let's say, or mental illness, people say things like, "I don't believe in it." Well, great. Do not believe in the moon. You will not stop its rising or its setting. Nor will you stop its pull on the tides.
When discussing things like being gay, people will say, "I don't agree with it." Well, great. Disagree with the stars. You will not stop their shining. Their radiation still reaches the earth. Night still comes every day.
The only thing we can accomplish by denial is keeping ourselves uninformed about the reality in which we find ourselves. At worst, denial can lead to fanaticism and psychosis. Denial binds us to suffering. Accept reality. Come closer to the parts of it that you find hard to deal with. There, the finger trap will loosen. There, you will find release. There, you will find peace.
The world is a big place. Life is very diverse.
