No, I'm not dead yet.

I've been trying to get back into doing this art thing and haven't had the proper motivation.

Until recently. I started reading Skeleton Crew by Gre7g Luterman. It's part one of a trilogy revolving around a character named Kanti. He's a geroo from... Well, I don't want to get too into the details of the story. But I do recommend the book if you haven't read it already. (The only gripe I had about it was I thought the ending felt kinda rushed.)

This was the first thing I drew while reading the book. Kanti, sitting at a table, trying to enjoy a drink while trying to not draw any attention to himself.

The story/book has kinda evolved over the years. There's been a couple revisions and more details have been forthcoming. It's much better than it originally was.

That's what I've been told. That the first book was very rough in comparison to the rest of the series. (And the expanded HC universe as a whole.)

This book has been sitting next to my desk since last Megaplex. If it's good enough to inspire fresh creative output, then man, I need to get into it now.

I think it's pretty good. But, like I mentioned, the ending seems almost like the author was trying to wrap it all up really quick and a lot of things happen in quick succession over like three chapters. And a few characters don't exactly behave as you would expect. :/
