Christianity vs Scandinavian Paganism
9-11. Never Forget.

And yeah, I'm posting this on InkBunny so some of you will be commending Muhammad's self-control on waiting for Aisha to turn nine instead of forcing himself on her when she was six and their marriage was first made official. Absolutely sick.

A few uncomfortable ideas:

* The Crusades were alright (except the 4th one), and the Reconquista makes me weep tears of joy.

* Islam is a religion which restricts diet (pork, wine) and hobbies (music, gambling); which tells you what time you must pray at and what direction you must face when doing so; how you have to wash yourself and even what hand you have to use after going to the toilet. It's a religion for slaves, not for free men.

* Unlike Jesus of Nazareth, who is shown as a pure, sincere and wholesome man in the New Testament, Muhammad is frequently shown as a cunning and lying individual in the Quran, able to manipulate, persuade and deceive others to achieve his goals. This can't but make me think that he belonged to the dark triad (psychopathy/narcissistic personality disorder). It makes perfect sense for a cruel cult leader.

* The previous point goes perfectly in line with the tricky and lying nature of the Arab. The concept of the taqqiya, unheard of in other religions, shows this too. Christianity tells you to die rather than lie. For example, Christian martyrs die rather than abandoning their faith. It's unthinkable for a Christian martyr to falsely pretend that he's not a Christian anymore or whatever, just to save his life. While Islam does allow you to lie (about your faith or whatever), in situations like that, to achieve a goal. And speaking of their tricky nature, anybody who's travelled to the Arab world as a tourist is almost guaranteed to have been tricked (or at least they tried).

* The Muslim idea of the afterlife involves sex and vice. Compare that to the Christian ideal of getting over your vices and living a pure life! Each one reflects the true ideas of each people.

* I've travelled to Morocco and Tunisia myself during the happy pre-COVID19 days, and even if those countries are among the most developed and westernized in the Arab and Muslim world, they are still dirt poor and chaotic. Being there makes you understand why terrorist groups are able to blossom and prosper there. The lack of control and order really creates the perfect environment for it. And again, we're talking about Morocco and Tunisia. I don't even want to imagine how Irak, Syria or Lybia are like. Or Afghanistan, which is not Arab, but all of this applies too.

* All these problems go beyond religion, and moors converting to Christianity would solve little. Still, I agree, it would be desirable that they converted, for so many reasons. But they won't convert. And if you're thinking about solutions, it would be better to be realistic. Like I always say, I wish we had a President of the Government (Prime Minister) here who said: "We are going to electrify the fences, and we'll make Morocco pay the electricity bill!".

Yes. Holding a stick and building fences are very good, wise basic policies of deterrence. Realistic and practical policies are important to have at any point in time.

A conflict of interest certainly exists concerning Muslims killing those who are LGBT.

In this particular situation, anyone who is fully devoted to being political correct can't have their cake and eat it too.
Going with one way would seem islamophobic to the politically correct...Yet someone who tries so hard not to come off as islamophobic would then seem to be literally screaming anti LBGT.

Quite so. A lot of the pet causes of the far left (feminism, transgenderism, gay rights, Islam, global warming, friendliness to Chinese industry, hatred of Western free markets) are mutually at odds or don't play together in an intuitive way. And yet I've never seen an ideologue who only cared about one of these things intensely to the exclusion of the others.

Their usual solution is simply not to think about it hard enough to realize it's a contradiction and get angry at anyone who tries to make them think.
