Darkness was a thing that killed. It was something to be afraid of and to push away. So why did it feel so good to embrace? Why did it feel so good to finally let go of their inhibitions, their morals, everything that the light stood for? It was scary the first time it happened. It was horrifying to let go for the first time, to go absolutely feral. But given time and a guiding hand, Fwench Fwy embraced the darkness, became one with it. Much to Iscream's delight.

I don't even follow the series, but I still think back to this piece every now and then (and its companion piece, to a lesser extent).  Think it's that the idea of the two opposites occasionally dipping (and being welcomed) into the other's end of the spectrum in their company is a weirdly compelling form of intimacy.  Normally, “corruption” does nothing for me and a “dark” character being defanged by a more “pure” one gets kind of an eye roll, but the dominant character in each piece looks so pleased and the flavour text for each frames it so nicely from the other perspective that I find something in these that I never have anywhere else.

(and, I admit, Fwy looking absolutely vicious here is pretty hot — the huge claws tearing into the ground, the furious grimace baring massive fangs pressed against Iscream's face, the hunched posture with raised fur…)

Also tempted to voice my appreciation for the parallels between the two, like the light and dark being in the same corner each time but with a different balance, the dominant character being holding the other between their legs as they pull the other towards their respective corner, and so on, but while I want to affirm that I noticed those things, I ought not to ramble too much.
