On that Sunday, the 14th of August in 1960 when Al and Marge took the cubs to Albuquerque to watch the airplanes take off, Skip Raccoon, who lives with his mom and dad in Moriarty, had to run an errand to Santa Rosa to pick up a part needed to repair a table saw.
In the pic, Skip is returning from the errand westbound on Interstate 40 back home to Moriarty, and is approximately five minutes away from Clines Corners. Skip plans to make a stop there for a Coca-Cola and a two pack of Hostess Twinkies...That purchase in 1960 comes to about 15 cents.
