I sketched this in just under an hour early this morning before going to church.

One of the teachers of the private school the church runs had noticed some of my artwork I showed to some folks. Thus she asked me to do a sketch pertaining to the Biblical account of Joseph.
For a few weeks I had not been getting around to drawing it for her. However, I decided to finally do the drawing for her this morning.
This is the scene where Pharaoh is granting Joseph the position of governor...2nd in authority.

The story as recorded in Biblical account;
In about the 16th Century BC, Joseph's brothers, out of jealousy, sold him into slavery. Joseph was later taken to Egypt and eventually became steward to Potiphar, who was one of Pharaoh's officials.
One day, Potiphar's wife tried to seduce Joseph, but without success. False accusations were then made resulting in Joseph being imprisoned.
Later, there came a time prior to a famine in which Pharaoh had a dream that troubled him. Joseph was able to interpret that dream, thus Pharaoh found favor in Joseph. Pharaoh then released him from prison, and granted him the position of Governor of Egypt, making him 2nd in authority over the country just under command of the Pharaoh.
Joseph wisely made decisions that prepared Egypt for the coming famine.

During the famine, Joseph's very same brothers who had earlier sold him into slavery journeyed to Egypt to plead for food and supplies. The brothers didn't recognize Joseph at first. But when Joseph was satisfied his brothers had reformed from their old ways, he identified who he was, granted them the food and supplies, then invited his brothers and father to settle in Egypt.
