~ A new morning, a new day to go out an explore though not much time to do it, as the camping trip was almost over and Ion would have to return back to his mundane life in the city again, a place he hated unlike out here where he felt he belonged. Getting up bright and early he set out, promising his parents not to go far but he just wanted to explore, to see just what was out there. Following his curiosity, Ion came across a small group of what look like pink fluffs with tiny ears, reminding him of some of the rabbits he had seen in the city, they looked harmless and seamed as much interested in him as he was to them. Then suddenly, what sounded like tiny laughter, a larger swarm of these fascinating creatures came running by as the small group of them near Ion, ran off to join them, with Ion following in pursuit. He didn't know where they were going or why they suddenly started running but he was eager to find out. They continued on for some distance, following the bank of a fast flowing river through the tress as Ion could hear the sound of the water getting louder and louder before some of the creatures started disappearing before his eyes. Ion came to a sudden stop as he realized that they were atop a waterfall but the creatures just kept on running, not even stopping before the cliff as they all started going overboard. Ion panicked realizing that the creatures were in danger, not knowing what to do, he recklessly climbed down the cliff side, as the creatures were falling all around him, grabbing onto a branch for support, he stuck his hand out, trying to save as many as he could but to his surprise, the ones that landed on his hand seamed to be a little upset. "You know, they don't like it when you get in the way of their fun" a voice could be heard coming from the nearby trees, "Fun? What are you talking about don't you see the are in danger, why don't you come and help..." Ion started calling out but was cut off by a small laugh. "In danger? Why don't you look again" the voice called out one more time as Ion looked around at the creatures still raining down around him, to his surprise though when the creatures hit the ground they would just start bouncing around like a ball before running off back into the forest, all the more while that sound of tiny laughter echoed louder. "What are these thing?" Ion confusedly said as a shadow came closer, "Bunny Poofs" the voice said again as Ion turned towards the direction it came from, as a small brown fennec fox around his size and probably his age, came into sight, "they are reckless little creatures, kind of like yourself seeing how you just slid down a cliffside but unlike you, they have no bones, well not like the ones you and me have and are quite squishy as you can see" the boy continued as he picked up a bunny poof and poked it a bit before setting it free again, "as you can see they can't get hurt even from a fall like that". "But even so, why would they just jump from the top of the cliff?" Ion asked, "well again they are reckless but they like to have fun and bouncing around like this is how they like to go about it" the fennec boy answered.
"How is it that you know so much about them?" Ion curiously asked, "well I am a tribal fennec, we are one with nature, so I kind of have to know" the fennec boy answered making a slight smile. "Tribal? Does that mean you live out here, outside the city?" Ion asked, "you got it, though I do go into the city from time to time as I have some issues to deal with, but nothing beats being out here" the fennec boy responded. "I think you got that right. Since you are from out here, do you mind showing me around some more?" Ion asked, "sure I can, I know these grounds like the back of my hand, in fact why don't we..." the fennec boy started saying before he was cut off. "Big brother, big brother, there you are, mom wants us to come back to the village right away" another fennec fox yelled out, one a bit smaller then Ion and the other one. "Ok Salt, go on ahead, tell mom I will be there in a minute" the older fennec boy said to the younger one as he took off, "sorry, I guess I don't have time to show you around" "No worries, I can adventure around myself for a bit before I have to go back to the city" Ion replied, "it was nice meeting you, maybe the next time I am in the city, if by chance we meet up, you can show me around your area" the fennec boy said as made a small laugh. "Sure thing but you know it won't be as exciting as out here" Ion responded but the fennec boy cracked a small grin, "maybe but maybe not, sometimes you don't know just how special and wonderful the place around you is, even if you live in it" the fennec boy said as he started walking off leaving Ion puzzled. "Oh before you go by the way, my name is Ion, Ion-Yggdrasil, what's yours?" Ion called out as the fennec boy stopped and looked back at him, "Flint, my name is Flint and again it was nice meeting you!" Flint said making a big smile before running off out of sight. Ion wanted to follow him but though it might not be such a good idea, he didn't want to get Flint in any sort of trouble by following him, but as luck would have it, Ion could hear his own parents calling for him, it was time to go, time to head back into the city in which he live and leave all that he loved behind. But he would be back, hopefully some time soon and maybe, just maybe he would be able to meet up with Flint again, sure Ion didn't know where he lived but that wouldn't deter him, the fact Flint was tribal and lived out in these lands Ion was sure he would come across him again the next time he camped out here. Maybe just like Flint said there could be a chance they could meet again in the city, though Ion didn't know the circumstances of why Flint would travel to the city being tribal, but little did he know just how right Flint would be and the bond the two of them would come to share. ~
