Nina Hawkins, bass guitarist and back-up vocals for the band Bad Luck, was a troubled teen growing up. Not having the full love of her parents, them instead doting on her older and more rebellious brothers, decided to defect from the family and seek solace in the music of metal and punk. However, even amongst her own bandmates, she never quite felt she fit in - being a bird and all, someone typically of high class society. That is, until Taylor came along and joined the crew. As a fellow girl with a similarly troubled past, she connected deeply with Taylor. However, after an incident following their first concert together, Ramon, their band leader, forbade them to interact with Taylor outside of rehearsals and concerts. Ramon understood the draw Taylor's tail could have on their revenue, but also despired and feared the innate skill and talent she wielded, not to mention her growing popularity with their audience because of Ahya. It wasn't until Tayor disappeared one day without a trace or reason why that Nina felt deeply the mistake she made. She should have disobeyed Ramon and continued to seek out friendship with Taylor. She should have risked her very spot in the band to find someone to connect with. It was a sad case of not knowing what she had until it was gone. All that were left were the memories of what might have been.
