The last thing Virgil remembered was spotting someone sneaking into her dorm room, quickly followed by a flash of light and the familiar jolt of a stun blaster. Then the young Azer woman woke up in the dark, padded interior of what she assumed was a stasis crate. A large wad of cloth packed into her mouth and tightly tied in place, she had no way of calling out for help as she was being transported to who-knows-where by who-knows-who. Escaping was also not an option, with the bands that thoroughly bound her into a snug bundle clearly being reinforced by some kind of nanotech and usually used to moor star ships to space stations. Virgil was just along for the ride at this point…
Bounty hunter Tessa Young smiled to herself as she pushed the hovering stasis crate to the hanger where her ship, the Ishtar, was waiting. Galactic Sentinels, even junior ones like Virgil, often had prices on their heads from the criminal organisations they foiled across the galaxy. Her contract was one such bounty, but the feline mercenary’s scheme was much cleverer than that: As usual, Tessa would avoid the Longbow fast travel stations to keep a low profile. The extra travel time would allow her to spend some quality moments with her cute, helpless captive. But no doubt it would also give Virgil’s team at the Sentinels time to notice her disappearance and put together a rescue mission. Tessa would deliver her prisoner to the crime lords that wanted to enslave her as revenge for having ruined one of their operations, get her payment and then Virgil would be rescued by her friends before any harm could be done. Easy, guiltless, and profitable fun. For now, the kinky cat was mostly looking forward to a private week in the silence of space, with her kidnapped damsel along for the ride…
