It was a sad day when not long after this photo was taken, Rachel's mother died. Rachel doesn't really remember much about her, and for the most part, she manages OK with her dad and her older sister Maeve (when she's home from uni that is!). But every now and then she looks at this photo - the last of her and her mum - and cries for what could have been.
