When they were created at the same time, an unknown soul was split in two.
Kissan is a cat created with magic and natural elements such as mud, water, branches, leaves and blood.
Aolani is a cat created in the laboratory as a younger clone of Shine, which is why she has so much similarity.
But for capricious reasons of the universe they both share a soul and it is believed that it is the soul of Felicity.
Who was that soul? Felicity, Shine's deceased mother.
