I know I've said I have difficultly designing interesting and varied female characters before. However, it seems that I can come up with some interesting characters, provided there is more to the character than just an idealized "love interest". There is in fact, a surprising number of female characters in BTBF. As of now there is a full 10 female characters in BTBF out of 25, which is not a bad ratio considering this is mainly a story revolving around the strong attachment of two boys to each other. I've so far managed to make each of them fairly unique for the most part.
Anyway, on to the characters.
On the Left we have Zoey Szalinski Zlotnik. A rabbit. She is kinda one of those artsy fartsy types. Clearly she likes to mix and unmatch as much as possible. She's a girl who is confident in her charms and her identity. Despite being slightly off the beaten path, she certainly has her admirers and she is considered a heart throb by many and a heart breaker as well. She's the girl whose name many a day dreamy boy say like a hymn.
Then on the right, we have Natasha Novosibirsk (formerly Bianca). A bobcat. Of all the female characters she is the one that I felt was the most interesting I developed character-wise. She is not a nice girl by any means. She is grumpy, irratible, uncouth, domineering, and full of jealous rage of others, especially nice-nice get along with everyone girls like Zoey. She's bitter and not above making others suffer. She has got a southern drawl with a slight russian accent, she dresses in tattered clothes, and her pants are barely held up by a single suspender. She's already got poor teeth. You might think with her social status she'd be quite and try her best to fit in with other girls. Instead she's loud boisterous and other girls keep their distance. She is very likely to swat a pricy little thing that gets in her way or on her nerves. Even a lot of boys find Natasha frightening and not someone to tangle with (doesn't help shes a predator species with sharp teeth and claws and little civility). This is one girl you do not want as your sweetheart. She will make sure you do exactly as she wants and make you miserable for any crumb of happiness you might consider hoarding to yourself! You've been warned.
