I loved this experiment, and having it hijacked by toxic trolls, I don't know whether to cry or punch someone. I will miss Braver. I'd gotten very fond of him and his quixotic quest to lay a dragon.

Honestly, I think the whole thing could have been salvaged as late as page XL, just by having Braver realize just how creepy that sentence was and how freaked out the dragon was. Have some doubts, real it all back in, talk with the dragon a bit between dodging attacks, and actually work through some issues.

It's a pity that the dragon lost all of their character growth for the sake of the "spite" ending. The tragic backstory and how Braver scoffed at it, the regret over killing the Slime Kingdom, and the dislike for being the victim would have actually had some effect on the dragon's post-Braver behavior.

I like how you completely disregard the fact that Braver knew that story was a lie, gave clear cut reason as to why he believed it to be a lie, and the dragon didn't show sadness of emotional hurt over Bravers reply nor did the dragon try to defend the story even once. If anything the dragon realized it was caught in the lie and switched tactics...

The dragon was an evil murderous being that only wanted to fight regardless of who got hurt.

Your refusal to see the obvious in regards to the villain is the reason why this comic ended the way it did... not spite...

You do realize that my comment was made before the unfinished comics were posted, so at the time there was no reason to think Braver was anything but horny and insensitive, instead of just horny and kind of a creepy jerk. This ending was written to spite the people that complained about how the story was being written, and to do that it threw away both Braver and the Dragon's motivations (after all, Braver's little "the whole world is counting on me" skit makes no sense in context of the unfinished comics). It's sad and understandable that Vavacung felt the need to wash their hands of this story (people were getting way too nasty about this), but it's still a spite ending.

And I still think the whole story could have been salvaged if Braver had started to realize how creepy they were being, and had started to care a bit more about the dragon as a person. There's a fine line between awkward and distrurbing, and Braver went too far for most people's tastes. Like it or not, people don't like rapists. They tend to pity rape victims even if the victim was a murderer, especially if they might have a motive for their crimes. Rape is a really nasty topic that leaves a terrible taste in the mouths of most people, and the comic was way too cartoony to have the average Joe cheering on seeing the dragon degraded and abused. Vavacung should have made Braver a bit more sympathetic and caring.

My comments was also made before i read the finished comic... I read this, looked at the comments, made my reply, and then proceeded to DA. Just to be clear...

Braver clearly explains that he went through the effort of learning about the mating habits of Dragons and this shows he wasn't just being over baring simply because he could... he was treating her like any other dragon would treat their mate by being dominate.

Based on what he learned this was the proper way to make her his mate if her followed natural Dragon behavior...

I.E... It ain't rape... its a mating ritual -_-...

Honestly I was calling it rape in the very first comment I made about this comic. but after looking over it again I realize I was wrong to call it that. These are animals... which don't behaive like or have the rules humans do. We as the readers made the mistake of assuming that human rules apply... when they don't -_-.

which i am assuming is one of the building blocks of Ink bunny to begin with.

This wasn't done out of spite... Braver behavior and personal interest in the dragon was rather clear the entire time. He went about learning about her so he could properly court her.

It was done because that is what the masses assumed was the case and ran with it. When Vavacung said "Okay YOU GUYS get to choose how this plays out"... the people chose the villain.

Please take note of how early the comment about dominance in dragon mating happened in the story. =/

In-universe a world that valued morals in a life or deah situation deserved to face mass extinction before taking nothing but a phyrric victory.

Don't feel bad that toxic people changed the direction of your project, honestly? I think the idea that the ppl of the world were stupid enough to sympathize with a genocidal dragon because the hero was "creepy" and "stalkery" to the point of willingly facing it's own ruin was hilarious, I liked it!

It's a shame too many people took the stupid comic seriously but eh... It is what it is...

Welp, if the story was written by the "public opinions", then it's a likely outcome.
When you're going as far as to simphasize with a villain, cuz main character sounds or looks "creepy", then it's a fitting end to the world, filled with such retards.
Don't even feel pity for them.
Sad, it can't happen to those who ruin good thing for others. :T

TBH this whole switch to toxic ending was a bit weird. Was there really such a strong and overwhelming support for the dragon and hatred towards the kobold? If I recall correctly where all of this started, there were plenty of people on the both sides of the equation, saying that they'd pick a "creepy" kobold over a genocidal dragon any day of the week. If anything, I seem to remember that the majority of comments were in support of the kobold. Am I missing something here? Why did we get this ending? It is interesting per se, but I really wish it went a different route...

I loved this comic from the beginning to the end, even if it stopped a little earlier than everybody wanted.

Sad to see this comic end this way... was hoping the dragon would cave or the kobold would perhaps try a different tactic like instead of scolding the big dragon maybe flirting by telling them they got rather lovely scales and saying maybe what they need is a different manner to release pent up rage and frustration than killing. Sadly... the trolls and their toxic behavior attacked in such force... I..do hope Brave and the dragon will see each other again.. maybe in a take two of this. Surely both would at least end happier. Poor dragon though... lost their arms. Comic was enjoyable while it lasted... despite the kobold being a blood stain on the dragon's foot at one point. Big fan of your art and I hope these two some day down the road can get their retry without the trolls and their foul behavior

Life...finds a way.
I enjoyed the comic. I am sad to hear, that some unknown drama has influenced it's course. But hey...It's how most fights with dragons would go. They aren't meant to be confronted by a single individual, unless you are Saitama. Well...I can dig this ending as well, and accepting the artist's choice of sad end. I was looking for a happier ending as well, but I am adult-enough to know, that Life has hardships and a lot of black moments. Endings like these are leaving readers in bad mood...but they will recover, and find joy anew. Bad Ends are a must, to appreciate the Good Ends. Sadly, this comic was a 'downer', it hits hard, but we'll stand up and enjoy your other-happier projects from here on!

While I totally sympathize with everyone disappointed in this ending, I am glad it exists. It was a unique and surprising path for this to go and added to the uniqueness of this project. There are a lot of porny stories/art out there and this could have just been that forgettably, but instead it is something more memorable.
That said I was rooting for the kobold and would be more than happy to see a rewind/alt ending that goes to a happy ending.

I still find it funny how many people are willing to side with a murderous dragon who would gladly kill woman and children, their own siblings, and eventually commit global gynecide just because the killer could and for no other reason than for entertainment.

And even worse... its because the only person who could stop them from their murderous indiscriminate rampage... was sexually attracted to them.

As perverse as the community of this site is you (the people who supported the comic by coming back to reading it) suddenly get mad at a character for their sexual interest?

Isn't that exactly why most of you fools are here on Ink bunny? Because you have a sexual fetish that most would frown upon and thus you know you would get persecuted for it? So you came here...

And now we have a character who had the ability to save the planet in this story and yet because you felt uncomfortable with this characters sexual interest... you side with the villain... because the hero is "creepy"?

I said it in my last comment on this comic... and i will say it again.

All of you out there who have chosen to hate the kobold are literally just like anyone out there who would be disgusted with you for simply being on Ink bunny in the first place... maybe even worse because you know the character is the good guy and is literally the only one who can defeat the bad character. AND YET YOU STILL SIDE WITH THE EVIL CHARACTER! At least the folk who would be pissed at you for liking furry art don't know you... but you readers sat and learned about the character, laughed at the idea of him boning an evil dragon... and then suddenly turned on him.

You do realize most of the community came here because certain rules on other sites made it difficult to post the art you want to post/see... cause people assumed you where creepy.
