This Douglas Aircraft DC-3 is one of the planes Al and Marge Coyote took the cubs to the Albuquerque Municipal Airport to watch the planes take off.
This is in August of 1960.

Amazing how many are still flying. Used too be a café that one was made into and another that was part of a McDonalds.

I saw this plane even in a museum. And the dc-3 is An famous aircraft that is used in WW2 do anyone remember the movie a bridge too far?

I do not recall the movie.

I have heard that DC-3s were used a lot by the Postal Service during the 1940s and 1950s for airmail service.
Some of them were used to deliver humanitarian aid and supplies to 3rd world countries.
