I couldn't really see the tail but at that time they were the US norm. In my book the Connie is the most beautiful airliner ever built!

The Constellation was one of my favorite airplanes when I was a kid...That and the C-123 and the DC-3.

Cool! I've seen a DC-3/C-47 in museums, one as a café, at air shows (one next month!) and at said air show once sat in the cockpit of one!

A real legend!

Cool, a PBY Catalina is the closest too me. Though at one I did meet a guy who inspired the Death Star attack in Star Wars.
