passed away the other day, most of us found out today/yesterday. He was a great fella I'd known for years, but, never really drew him somehow. (Though I guess one of his stories appeared in my spankbank, and he was happy to find that out, so, there's a start.)

Yeah...makes relating easier yet less painful than it should be. As for frequency, I think that's a matter of who you know. As a community get tighter, less stuff goes under the fence. It's an occurrence you only hope happens when you've grown old and expect the worst to take you before those who you've taken a fondness for. So, cherish who you have and don't take them for granted...some people just aren't replaceable as I have come to find out.
