In the 60's weren't ones made of aluminum popular for awhile?

This tree is a real tree, which Grit and Grimy have let become dried up.

I remember those aluminum trees. An uncle, aunt and cousins on my dad's side of the family has one of those.
That tree was mundane as I remember it.
Those didn't have lights. Instead, there was a light with a colour wheel that shined blue, red, yellow and green in the shiny tree.
All the ornaments they had also were the same...They were dark blue silk balls.

We always had a real tree with the lights and fancy ornaments made of blown glass that were different from each other.

Always had classic allergy inflicting pine ones as well.

I just remembered they were a fad Charly Brown dissed.

I remember most of the real trees back in my day were a variety of cedar.

That's one reason we have artificial trees: they're fire-retardant...and some of my relatives are allergic to the real ones.

The real ones usually didn't become a fire hazard as long as they were kept watered and the tree stayed green.
