The room was mostly silent except of the soft sounds of pulsing beeps from the ECG, syncing in rhythm with the heartbeat of the patient laying on the operating table. Meeka finished placing the surgical drapes over the patients belly, the place she would be operating on as she turned her attention towards the monitor, vitals were looking good as she then looked down at the face of her patient. The one lying there was Ion, her cousin and a fairly frequent flyer of her operating room, after an injury that almost claimed his life, Ion had been experiencing some medical problems, problems though that in Meeka's view, if Ion took a bit better care of himself, he would not have to undergo as many surgeries as he frequently does. But never the less, she was there for him and make sure his problems would be correctly fixed so he would not have even worse complications down the line. After seeing him fast asleep, breathing comfortably from his oxygen mask, Meeka decided it was time to start the procedure. Taking a scalpel in hind, she made an incision across the lower part of Ion's belly, his fur slowly parted as small amounts of blood started oozing out but was nothing out of the ordinary. Meeka quickly cauterized the bleeding as before long she had the problem part of Ion's bowel exposed so it could be worked on. It was going to be a fairly simple surgery, untangle the knotted parts of Ion's bowel and re-secure them back in place with sutures, something Ion had undergone many times before. Meeka wished Ion did not have such an aggressive fighting style, as it would help his bowels stay intact for a longer period of time, or at least, when he was feeling minor pain in his gut, to take a few days off to let his bowels settle before going out to Hunt again. It would prevent Ion from coming to her in severe pain and needing surgical intervention to immediately correct his issue, instead of more minor medical procedures with surgery only once in a while, she hoped Ion would eventually get it but it was looking like a lost cause. Moving around in his gut, Meeka had to sever some of Ion's bowel to untangle it, clamping any bleeding that came of it with surgical clamps but most of it untangled rather easily. Once there were no more knots, Meeka sutured back together any severed pieces of Ion's bowel and carefully put them back into place, anchoring them there with special mesh and sutures. It will hold them there for at least a little while but for now, the severe pain that Ion was in should be alienated. With her healing work done, Meeka began to close Ion's incision, suturing it closed rather skillfully so the least noticeable scar would eventually remain, Ion's thicker fur would help with that. After cleaning most of the blood off of him, Meeka, with the help of her assistants, lifted Ion onto a gurney and sent him off to recovery, where his mate Zephyr would surly be waiting for him but for now her job was done. It was something while Meeka didn't look forward to but she knew Ion relied on her to help him and she would make sure to always be there for him, healing any injury that would come his way
