Mankee was born in the Andaman Islands in India. He was a member of one of the tribes and raised in the forest. Mankee had unique skills in hunting, running and climbing. He could climb rock walls, run in the trees and fight. Mankee was never afraid, even at a young age, but had a curious mind. He had lived on the island his whole life, but wanted to know how animals on the mainland lived.
One day in November, before Mankees 23rd birthday, he encountered several animals traveling in the forests. He saw from their clothing that they were from a different country. Mankee then noticed that the animals were trying help a young male cheetah, who was about ten years. The cheetah was stuck in quicksand and was sinking. Mankee reacted and rescued the boy, using the vines and tree branches. He grabbed the boys hand, just before it went under and pulled him up.
The older cheetah, who was the boy's father, was grateful to Mankee for saving his sons life. Mankee took the cheetah and his company back to his tribe. The older cheetah explained that his name was Edward and he was the head of an organization known as MI6 in England. Edward explained that he was in the Andaman Islands to gain trust with other countries.
Edward then made an offer to Mankee, to have him join MI6. In exchange, Edward would help give his tribe resources. After thinking about it for several days, Mankee told Edward that he would agree to become a secret agent. Mankee then packed his things and left with Edward in the boat. They sailed north, until they reached the mainland, then boarded a plane and traveled to England. Mankee got rather airsick, for it was the first time he and been on a plane.
After arriving in London, Mankee took it all in as he saw civilization for the first time. Mankee constantly asked questions about the cars, boats, planes, streets, building, radios and animals. After arriving at headquarters, Edward took Mankee to meet a male raccoon named Dennis, who was the agencies tailor for nearly forty years.
Edward told Mankee that since he was going to be a secret agent, he would need to wear a suit. After Dennis took Mankees measurements, Edward took him to the lower levels, where Mankee was examined by doctors and dentists. Mankee then went through medical and psychological exams to check his health, speed and fighting skills.
Edward then took Mankee to a bedroom, where he was washed and dressed in boxers and a muscle shirt. Mankee found the clothing strange, compared to his tribal clothes. Mankee mainly practiced his fighting skills for the next few days. Edward then took Mankee to see Dennis, for his suit was ready.
Dennis had a unique skill for picturing an animal in his mind, trying to see what type of suit they would look great in. Dennis had Mankee dressed in a gray three-piece suit, with a double-breasted jacket. Mankee thought he looked good, but felt the suit was rather tight.
After all was set and done, Edward made Mankee an official MI6 agent. Mankee was trained in secret service combat, how to use guns, Edward even taught him reading, writing, eating properly, how to get around London, even taught Mankee about how 20th century animals lived. Mankee mainly lived in MI6 headquarters, until they could find a home for him.
Mankee often pulled on his neck collar, for he felt his suit was uncomfortable, especially around his neck. But none the less, he had to wear it, for it was mandatory and it was the only clothes that would allow him to blend in with British society. Mankee went on many missions and assignments. Two years after he joined, Mankee was given a mission that took him to Paris.
Mankee was to find and kill an enemy agent. He entered an abandoned warehouse, where he was suddenly surrounded by enemy spies. Mankee was captured, tied up and gagged and locked in a closet to await interrogation. He was unable to struggle free, then was rescued by other agents several hours later.
The enemy was killed. Mankee often visited his home when he could, but returned by the time he was in his sixties when he retired from the agency.
