This is Elephant the Hamster from NickJr's 'Little Bill' series. Yes, 'Little Bill' was a project of Bill Cosby's, but that's not what I wanna write about.
My interest is in this pencil. This pencil is named 'The Elephant', and was made by the American Pencil Co., NY.
The Elephant certainly earns its title---this pencil has a thickness of two inches!
The wood is simply gorgeous---it's marbled; dark, yet *colorful, with hints of red here and there (kinda looks like a fancy cigar).
*I saturated the colors a little bit here, to better bring them out. I have sent an email to an expert, whom I hope will be able to identify the wood.
I fully expected this pencil to produce a dark, thick line, but in fact the lead is hard (3H is my guess) and the line is fairly thin.
Due to the thickness of this pencil, I lack the proper tool to sharpen it (it's much thicker than my other jumbo pencils, such as the Eagle Alpha).
Suffice it to say, though it isn't my best pencil, The Elephant is easily the biggest and most alluring. :3
