I was going to use a generic pencil to draw this---just some old unbranded pencil that had "Believe in yourself; Reach for the stars!" written on it ...but it snapped in half as I was placing my cap eraser onto it. It was a cheap, pinewood pencil that had dry rotted! XD So, I thought instead to draw (again!) with the 9H Dixon, then go over the lines with another pencil. In this instance, I used the 'Negro' model by L&C Hardtmuth.
This is a fairly rare, vintage drawing tool boasting a thick lead, and ...I. Freaking. Love. This. Pencil!
I really do! It's like drawing with a crayon---you can sorta feel the lead squishing ever so slightly under pressure, yet it produces a very thin, delicate line (unlike other leads of similar width, such as that of the Ebony or the Black Magic). Granted, you're NOT going to do any speed drawing with this one---it's more of an 'inking' pencil (akin to the No-Blot Ink Pencil) but better suited for (simple) cartoon work.
All that said, the lines made by this pencil are indelible---you can't erase them (I experimented with a cap eraser, a Pentel eraser pen and a kneaded Eberhard Faber eraser).
EDIT: I opted not to fill Scribbles (as I did Ink) to preserve the fineness of the lines.
