The following morning, Maxwell was up early, as he got his armor on to go train for the day, stretching slightly as he looked into the mirror. He wasn’t aware of his sister's return yet and wasn’t sure if his father had set anything in motion yet. As he went to leave his room, there was a knock on the door. Maxwell was taken by surprise as he opened it to see Lyle and Bael standing before him. “Oh, Lyle, Bael, what brings you two here so early?” He asked as Lyle looked at the husky general. “You didn’t hear? Lady Saria returned late last night, and his majesty wants everyone to gather in the throne room. I don’t know exact details but it sounds like we are being deployed on a mission.” Lyle explained as Bael nodded and leaned to the side a little and crossed his arms. “According to Lyle, Saria returned with wounds around her body and was drained from what seems to be a fight. So if I had to guess, his majesty wants us to hunt down and kill whoever did it. Alex sent us to retrieve you.” Bael said as he turned and uncrossed his arms, adjusting his glasses a little and moving his hair back out of his face. “Best not keep the king waiting, he is a patient man but even he has his limits.” Bael said as he started walking, Maxwell was surprised by what they said but before he could even ask questions he found himself walking alongside Bael, Lyle right behind them. The trio saw groups of knights walking towards the throne room, including people like Melody, now wearing a set of royal armor, and Alex and Inferno. Lyle grunted seeing the crown prince walking in as he shook his head. “I somehow knew he’d push to join us.” He said as Maxwell chuckled and shook his head, knowing it was a battle of two stubborn dragons at that point if his father really let it happen.

The trio entered and saw a semi large crowd of knights in the room, Maxwell making his way to the front of the group as Lyle and Bael went to stand alongside Inferno, since they were his technical guards for the mission. Drax watched everyone file in, Maxwell noticing Leblanc standing next to him, in armor similar to Alex’s. Maxwell gently leaned to her and whispered “Promoted that fast?” He wondered as he trusted Leblanc due to Inferno, but even that was a shock as she glanced over and nodded. “Prince Inferno requested it, as a trial. He told your father it would be a good way to monitor if I can be trusted. Since Alex will always be watching me as one of the chosen few.” She explained simply as Drax cleared his throat and gave a stern look at the two to get them to quiet down, before turning his attention back to the crowd before him. Drax stood in authority as he had his arms behind his back, held together and placed above his tail as he was ready to speak. “Hello soldiers, I know this is abrupt and sudden, but as of last night, my daughter, which most of you know had gone missing with Silcia and Mar yesterday, has returned with unsettling news.” He started as Maxwell listened carefully. “When she returned, we had found out that herself, Silcia and Mar came face to face with an assassin who, from what I have gathered, has been hired by some demon to take my brothers body from its resting place and potentially revive it, to allow them to use his powers even while he isn’t alive anymore. I believe this demon in question is the one you all have heard rumors of, the one Maxwell learned about when our mercenary acquaintance Thanatos faced off against it and nearly died. We do not know much about this demon, but we know that if she is trying to bring my brother back to life, she has some dark motive we can’t foresee.”

He then motioned to Leblanc as she nodded and stood before everyone. “The idea that he is being revived may sound absurd, but I have been witness to these types of things before. My second and third in command, Melody and Sazh, have both been capable of bringing back the dead when working together. I do not know the technicality behind their powers, nor do they, but we do believe that this might be the same magic being used to threaten us and bring back a former dark king. I may have been your enemy a month ago, but I can assure you I will fight alongside you to make sure such things don’t come to fruition. From what his majesty explained to me, our mission is the castle in Drazernon’s former realm. When we are there we will be splitting into four groups. One led by Maxwell, One led by Inferno, One led by Melody, and one led by Myself and Alex. We will split everyone up upon arriving.” She said, Drax nodding as he let her do what she needed. He still had some trust issues on the matter due to how she tried to kill them before, but seeing as she was dedicated to proving herself, as well as Melody showing she was trustworthy with facing her own general was enough to let him give them the chance. Drax nodded softly as Leblanc went and stood alongside Alex, who Drax noticed praised her for how she handled it, looking out to the crowd. “I was reluctant to send my own family and knights to do this because I was worried, and afraid. But now, I know I have a team before me I can trust will handle this without issue. Please, do what you can and bring down these treasonous monsters for defiling my brother's grave and stealing his body. Everyone, Dismissed!” He ordered and watched as they left, except for Alex, Leblanc, Melody, Inferno, Maxwell, and Lyle

Lyle looked at the group and thought for a second. “You guys ready. Once we leave, we may not be able to return until we find a way to kill her. This demon is no joke from what Thanatos showed when he was facing her.” Lyle asked as the group nodded, Melody looking to him and smiling. “I am by your side until the end. This will be how I show my gratitude to Inferno, as well as my loyalty to you as our new leader. Like Leblanc said, we were once your enemy, but when Nomad took care of us, we knew we had a debt to repay..” Melody said, Leblanc agreeing and sighing a little. “Especially me, I let myself be manipulated and controlled by Alucard to walk a path that led to me becoming an enemy of the kingdom. I will show just how sorry I am, by facing this alongside you.” She said. Inferno nodded as he looked at his brother, Lyle sighing a little as he was worried about taking Inferno, before the hybrid spoke. “I won’t back down, someone took my father’s body. As I told Lyle yesterday, he was unforgivable and horrible, but he was still my father, and I love him deep down. Someone did the unforgivable vandalizing his grave. I won’t sit back and wait for you guys when that is something I can’t forgive.” He said, the others understood how he felt as they watched him. Alex finally spoke up with a chuckle. “In regards to being ready for this mission, your highness, I am leading the operation so I have to be, and I can’t speak for him, but Lyle has a duty to protect Inferno so if he’s coming, Lyle probably isn’t second guessing himself.” He said as Lyle nodded in agreement, as that was true in this case.

Maxwell chuckled softly as he looked at his group, looking towards the door and started towards it. “Good, if none of you have any more issues to work out inside yourselves, let's group up with the rest. And don’t go dying on me, got it?” Maxwell said as he left, Lyle rolling his eyes as he walked with the others. “He just had to say that.” Lyle said as Melody chuckled softly as she headed out ahead of them. Leblanc stayed back for a moment and thought, sighing heavily as she adjusted her armor for a moment. “First task out of the infirmary is to face a demon. They really wanna test my loyalty.” She said but nodded, understanding what brought this along as she made her way out and towards the group, a portal appearing behind a pillar as she left, walking out was Raigh, who smirked knowing Alucard was able to hear everything from where he was. He stepped out and looked at the empty throne room, smirking to himself as he headed for the exit. “Well, they think Nelvona is the one responsible? Heh, we can use that to our advantage and set our plan in motion without Alucard being found out.” He said and left the throne room and headed the opposite direction of the group, to keep out of anyone’s sight for the time being.

Judas sighed in relief as she finished getting ready for the day and getting her small bag packed back up, leaving the room in a cleaned up manner how she received it. “Alright, today we must make it to Elderitch.” She said simply as she stood and grabbed her bag, slinging it over her shoulder and walking out of the room to see a big, rounder man, standing before the innkeeper and looking him down. “Any donations to give to the orphanage?” Fawkes asked with a slight smirk as he watched the stubborn Innkeeper mostly ignore him. “I told you already Fawkes, I am no longer donating to you because of your scumbag tendencies. Please, leave my inn before I call the guard and have you thrown out.” He said as Fawkes laughed and pulled a cigar from his pocket, cutting off the end and lighting it as he glared at the man. “The guards won’t do shit to me, they’re my bitches and are afraid of what’ll happen if they don’t help me, I’m the only one who has any chance of keeping the orphanage running, without me those kids would be dead on the streets.” He smirked and puffed some smoke in the man's face, the elderly man shaking his head.

“You’re the reason this town hates the orphans. What you didn’t isn’t helping or raising them, you’re just lining your own pockets. And who said I’d go to our guard, I’ll gladly wait the extra days to ask King Drax himself, or Crown Prince Ashford of Sanctuary. I don’t fear people like you Fawkes, you’re a coward who uses kids as leverage to get what you need, but I see right through you. I refuse to aid you and give you even a small chunk of silver.” The man said, Fawkes growling in anger as he raised his right hand and snapped his fingers in anger, the snap was loud, echoed off the walls as another man who was sitting nearby stood, a tall man in a black suit with long silver hair stood and walked over to Fawkes, pulling a knife and aiming it at the Innkeeper. “Wrong answer bub. Now, you either have the choice to pay me, or lose your life and I take what’s in the sorry excuse of an Inn, your pick.” Fawkes said as the servant kept the knife aimed.

“How about the third option where you leave him be and deal with someone who can actually fight.” Judas called as she set her back aside and got ready to fight back for the man, Fawkes looking back at her as he turned and glared. “Who are you?” He said before realizing what she was and laughed. “Hah, a pathetic demon woman thinks she can fight back against me. Your kind ain’t welcome here you bitch, why don’t you quiet down and leave this town before I kill you too.” He waved her off and turned back to the innkeeper, before Judas ran up and kicked Fawkes right in the spine, making the big man lunge forward in pain as he grunted, the man in the suit turning and quickly swinging the knife at Judas, only for her to leap back and spin around the kick him in the side, knocking him over and onto Fawkes, getting ready to fight as she looked to the innkeeper. “Get out and get the guards, let them know an ambassador of Crown Prince Ashford is here and wants their aid.” She said as Fawkes growled and stood, pulling out a small dagger to fight. “Damn bitch, getting in my way. Ambassador you say? Well well, I can easily use you as a bargaining chip against the royal family if I can get you to submit.” Judas just smirked and got into a fighting stance, watching as the other man stood up and shook his head to get his vision stabled.

“Using me won’t work for you. One thing you must know about Sanctuary is demons live in peace with all sides. Plus, I don’t think Ashford would be too thrilled if you tried hurting his childhood knight.” She smirked and charged them, Fawkes showing he was quite fast for a bigger man as he charged as well and quickly swung the dagger with impressive momentum and speed. Judas smirked and leapt right over the dagger and kicked down, hitting him right in the shoulder as he grunted and moved with her to roll out of the way and land by the desk, the man taking this chance to get behind Judas and try slashing at her back, the demon quickly lunging forward, flipping and landing on her hands, spinning herself to kick the man in the face and landing gracefully back on her feet, running and slamming her for down hard against the man's arm, hearing a couple of cracks as he yelled and dropped the knife. Judas smirked and grabbed the knife, turning back to Fawkes who just smirked as he snapped his fingers again and another man walked in, similar to the other but this one was a reptile with brown robes instead and had a curved sword. “Listen you stupid bitch, you won’t win. I have allies all around this town armed and ready to do my bidding. This town is crawling with my spies.” He said as he aimed the dagger at her as the first man stood weakly, clutching his arm in pain but he was in a battle position, showing he was still going to try. Judas watched as she was growing outnumber but nodded and smirked as she held the knife and quickly ran at the reptile, who swiftly swung his curved sword at her, only for her to stop in her tracks, backflip away and throw the knife, and with precision aiming, pierced the robes and his the left side of his chest, the reptile screaming, but was cut short as he fell, Judas snatching his sword and kicking the body aside as it bled out. “Pretty thin scales for a reptile, can’t even take care of your men in that sense.” She smirked as she took the sword and got ready. Fawkes grunted and charged her.

Judas quickly devised a plan in her head as Fawked tried to jab her with the knife. She dropped to the ground and rolled to the side, swinging herself around to strike against his legs and causing Fawkes to fall over and grunt as he smacked his face against the chair his first ally was sitting in. He stood and grunted as he wiped some blood from his face as it seemed to have snapped his nose. He spit to the side as some blood and a tooth fell out and he smirked, his teeth covered in his blood as he charged her again. She smirked at that as she swung the sword, catching his next attack as he swung downwards, she caught it with the sword and pushed up to throw him off balance and kicked him in the gut. He fell back and landed hard against his back as he grabbed a rail and tried standing up as she charged him again, by this time, the innkeeper returned with the guards to see Judas, clad in Sanctuary’s colors, fighting fast against Fawkes. The group stayed back as Judas swung his sword, which Fawkes absentmindedly raised his hand to block before screaming in agony as the sword slipped between his fingers and punctured right down to his palm, the hand splitting slightly as he screamed, the sword making a messy cut. She smirked a bit, almost sadistically as she forcefully turned it and with her free hand, grabbed one side of his hand and pulled, forcing the sword across a part of his hand, ripping off his index and middle finger as he screamed in agony, Judas kicking him twice in the face as she threw his fingers on the ground, the entire lobby coated in blood at this point. “Try calling my allies now you piece of shit.” She said and wound up a kick, and almost ear shatteringly, he was kicking into a wall, the impact causing a hole to break through it as he fell through, and pathetically he tried crawling away, attempting to stop the bleeding as she weakly fell to a knee, the innkeeper running to her side, as the guards spoke. “That was Fawkes… What do we do?” One asked as the other sighed.

“For now let’s report to the office for now, because we can’t exactly arrest Fawkes, and we can’t arrest this demon if she is an ambassador of Sanctuary.” He said as Judas growled as she got a second wind for a second and stood, angrilly glaring at the pair. “Your next course of action better be to start investigating this Fawkes person. I will not hesitate to report this to the crown prince and you’d be lucky to keep your head into next week. Someone like him making threats to these people and threatening to use me, the head knight and guard of Prince Ashford, is treason to the highest degree. So either you investigate Fawkes, Or risk death for treason to the throne.” She shouted as they froze in horror as she angrily punched the wall. “NOW!” She shouted once more as they ran out in a panic as she groaned and fell to a knee, seeing the mess. “Fuck, I’m so sorry.” She told the Innkeeper who shook his head and smiled gently. “Don’t be, you saved me. Knowing Fawkes, at that point, even if I did pay, he would have attempted at my life anyways. It will take some time but I am sure I will be able to recover from this, just going to need to power clean this place and get some construction going.” He said as he helped Judas sit in a chair, and moved her hair from her face to help her see. “You may have caused damage, but I don’t blame you, you wanted to help me, and if you didn’t, one of us wouldn’t have made it no matter what, this was the best option.” He said as he got her a towel to let her get cleaned up, before standing and nodding gently. “I was going to say this before you left, but word got around pretty fast that apparently, the kingdom of Elderitch is sending a group to the old demon king's castle. If you are looking to get to them, as the ambassador of Sanctuary, it might be in your best interest to intersect them and meet them there. I shouldn’t be telling you this because of the knowledge being meant to be kept secret, but I know you want to get to them faster than ever now.” He said grabbing a map from his desk and drawing a path for her so she’d know what she was looking for.

“What about you? She asked. “What if Fawkes comes back, and tries to kill you for what happened? I don’t want to just leave you unprotected. I feel I should return home and let them know so they can send people here.” She said as the man chuckled softly. “Don’t worry, I think I have a plan to avoid Fawkes. I planned to move away from here anyways, so that might’ve been some higher being's way of telling me it was time. Don’t worry about me, I might just make my move back to Sanctuary and let the king know myself if anything. Think you can at least help me with that?” He smiled and asked as Judas was surprised, but smiled hearing that as she nodded gently and grabbed her bag, pulling out a small box. “Don’t open it, because it holds a lot of value and is a bit secretive because it was a gift from the prince himself, but if you show the guards when you arrive, they will more than likely let you get into the castle to talk to the prince and king. I told Ashford this… “The day I give this to someone as a message, you will know I need you to trust me no matter what.”” She said softly before looking at him, as he nodded gently. “He won’t know the full story, but it is how he will know I sent you. Please, be safe.” she said as they traded the map and the box. The innkeeper gently nodded once more as he accepted it and gently placed it in his pocket. “I will, you be safe too.” He said as Judas thanked him and handed him some gold pieces. “An apology, I can’t fix the shop, but use this to get a start in Sanctuary.” She smiled, the man gently closing his hand and nodding as she walked away. He chuckled and removed his glasses, rubbing an eye to remove a tear. “Sweet girl. Let us meet again in Sanctuary Judas.” He said softly as he watched her leave.

Judas made her way out of the Inn and started walking towards the gates of town to be on her way. As she did Belladonna ran quickly calling out to her as she did. “Judas, Wait!” She said as the demon woman recognized the voice and turned, a smile softly forming on her face as she looked at who was running towards her. “Ah, hello Belladonna. I am glad you came to find me, I was just getting ready to leave, and wasn’t sure I’d find you before I left.” She said as the woman panted and nodded with a smile. “Well, after our conversation yesterday, I just wanted to thank you for appeasing my questions and letting me know about this stuff. I know you are on a mission, but when you get back to Sanctuary, you should come find me. I might be moving there in the coming days because my boss said they want people in Sanctuary who can make dresses, and I guess he thinks my skill is worth it there, rather than here.” She smiled as Judas nodded. “Well then, once I return I will gladly come take a look.” She said as they smiled at one another, Belladonna hugging her suddenly, as thanks. “Sorry, I don’t know how to express myself really. Hopefully this isn’t awkward.” she said “thank you.” she said softly as Judas hugged her and chuckled gently. “Of course not, this is just fine. Be safe when you make your way to Sanctuary.” she said softly as she started for the gate, the guards watching her off as Belladonna waved. Judas looked at the map she was given and nodded gently as she started navigating her way towards the new destination. “Drazernon’s castle huh? I am amazed a simple innkeeper knew that much honestly. But I will take whatever I can get. I wonder why they want to take on Drazernon’s castle again, when we did it the first time we handled everything… As far as I am aware.” She said but just started walking, not sure what to even say anymore at this point.

Fawkes breathed slowly and in pain as he was cleaned up by one of his men, the human from before watching as a random servant stitched up his hand as he groaned and grunted in pain, the human servant holding his broken arm and thinking. “So, Sanctuary really knows how to train their soldiers, huh?” He asked Fawkes as the man just nodded and slammed his good hand on the table, looking at the fact he was missing half of his left hand now. “I can’t believe she would do that, the bitch will pay for what she did.” He grunted as he looked, hearing the door opening, walking in was a soldier from before. “Good morning Mr. Fawkes. I am here in regards of the guard post, just to get your side of the story on what happened at the inn today.” He said as Fawked looked with an annoyed expression as he waved his hand, the broken armed man stood and explained what happened, in a more biased sense to favor Fawkes, as the guard nodded and wrote down the information he received. The man nodded as he put away his pen and notepad and noticed Fawkes’s hand. “Who was that woman anyways?” He asked as the man once again spoke. “She was from Sanctuary, I believe her name was Judas, from what passing by comments had expressed, she is apparently someone high in rank in Sanctuary. We would like to request you send out a statement to Sanctuary stating that one of their generals had gone crazy and assaulted a respected figure of our little town. Is that clear?” He asked as the guard shook his head and raised his hand. “Unfortunately, we are ordered to not take any orders from Fawkes until we hear back from Sanctuary. We got orders from the ambassador of Sanctuary to put Fawkes under investigation until further notice. As much as it pains me to say this, but depending what we hear back, Fawkes might surely spend the rest of his days behind bars.” He stated as Fawkes stood and shouted in anger. “WHAT?!” He said as he slammed his fist on the desk, nearly causing the legs to snap. “Those damned piles of shit think they can make a fool of me?! Do they not know who I AM?!” He shouted as the guard was ready to draw his weapon. “Unfortunately, any title doesn’t hold up to orders from the kingdom, as much as we want to say otherwise, we can’t disobey direct orders from members of the castle court.” He said as Fawked shouted in anger as the man left.

Fawkes’s anger slowly subsided as he sat down, a plan developing in his mind as he looked out the window, lighting a cigar to the best of his ability, and taking a drag of it, smoke blowing out as he thought. “Well, they want to put me on trial? Under Investigation? Then let’s give them a reason to, let’s make an example of these brats. Go, kill Kimbley before the guards and remind them who has the power here. Royal crown be damned, those idiots can’t even govern a simple castle, who says they can control us?” He said as the two servants looked in shock. “Sir, are you sure that is a good idea? If you kill Kimbley, there is surely to be a hoard ready to kill us. Are you certain this is what you want?” He asked as Fawked glared back and puffed some smoke from the cigar once again, his attention back on them. “Do you think people care? This is all a part of my plan. These townspeople hate the orphans for what they do for me, killing one will just bring me praise. Thinning the herd of orphans in this world. Or, would you rather I just kill you as an example instead? These idiots don’t care about orphans because I intentionally made them look bad so people would just turn a blind eye if something bad happened to them. Because of me, these kids can be an example and people won’t feel sorry for them, but I can use them to show I will kill whoever I please. And whoever I need.” He smirked and turned back towards the window, as the two just looked in shock, before looking at one another and nodding as they headed for the door, walking out to go find Kimbley, who sat up on a rafter above the office door, hearing everything. Kimbley grunted and twitched a little in anger as his eyes showed a lifeless anger, his hand twitching a bit as he got up and leapt to a hole in the roof, leaving the rafters and ending up on top of the building, making his way on top of roofs, leaping across gaps as he made his way to the edge of town, seeing a way he could leave, and make a straight shot for Elderitch, as a portal behind him opened. “Kimbley, you leaving?” He asked as the boy looked in shock, seeing Alucard.

“You’re that man!” He said in surprise seeing the man from the night before standing before him, walking to stand alongside him. “I know how you feel, when people want to kill you or get rid of you just to prove a point. I used to serve a king, and when his throne was threatened, he sent me and my allies to die for him, stand on the front line and battle.” He said as Kimbley listened to him, staring off into the distance, still slightly twitching in anger as he watched. “Come the day of the attack, Drazernon let us all take the front line, and I was met with a bullet to the head, ending my life then and there.” He said as Kimbley looked in shock, realizing what he was saying as he examined him, Alucard stared at the castle, emotionless, empty. “I was only lucky to be alive now thanks to a rebellion leader, her group managed to revive me and let me fight alongside them. But then they betrayed me and joined the enemy.” He said as Kimbley actually felt sorry for the guy, not aware the story was slightly fabricated to work a bit more in his favor, Alucard nodding softly. “The point being, you shouldn’t run away, but instead make a name for yourself and prove you aren’t one to be used just for their own examples. Fight back, attack.” He said, smirking slightly as Kimbley looked off to the kingdom in the distance, before looking back at the rundown town he was a part of, as Alucard handed him a small gem. “It isn’t much, but I wanted to give you this as a thank you for showing me your little magic act. I was thinking about it all night and I am impressed with what you can do.” He smiled as he walked off, opening a portal. “I won’t be the one to dictate your life Kimbley, it is your choice. I hope we meet again when you’ve made your choice. My name is Alucard.” He said to let him know who he was as he left, the portal closing as Kimbley examined the gem, and thought to himself as he sat down and looked at it. “Show them I won’t be an example, huh?” He said, nodding. “He’s right…” He continued as he stood, the crystal glowing as he tightened his grip, as his eyes slowly came back to normal, full of life, before turning crimson as he smirked. “I will show them I won’t be made an example of.” He said as he grabbed his deck of cards, a small crimson aura showing on them as he made his way, as if something had awoken inside of him. He made his way back to the orphanage.

Nelvona sat on her throne in her own realm thinking, as the hound from before had taken on another form, one more monstrous and intimidating, it had no legs but had a small pool of dark energy beneath it that allowed him to move, his neck, arms and lower body were all just skeletal spines that held together a dark grey torso, a dog's head with maniacal, insane eyes that had a dark red tint to them, and two long boney hands that were cold to the touch, covered in black fur. The thing somewhat bowed before Nelvona as she watched him. “Alev, my pet, is it true what you say? They believe I am the one using that pathetic demon's body?” She wondered as the dog nodded at his master. “Yes, my queen, they seem to believe what Alucard is doing is all your doing, and they are currently marching towards the castle that now sits in ruin to investigate. This could be our chance to finally put your plan into action to take the throne from this so called Elderitch and bring back your once spectacular kingdom, and rule like you were once meant to.” He said, smiling a little as he had a crazed look to him, but Nelvona seemed to only love it even more as she stood from her throne, grabbing her staff and walking towards him, gently petting his head as she smiled softly. “You may just be right Alev. They don’t know the old ways to fight back, so we could easily bring an end to them all, Alucard included and take the world like we were once meant to.” Maybe now would be a good time to go and see what that foolish leopard has learned, maybe he can be of some use to us.” She said and started walking with Alev, the dog thing turning back into its feral form to not give away who he was to SahÏr as they made their way to the library.

The chief of the Chit’Vani was just finishing a book he had found and nodded as he set it aside, smirking to himself as he had learned what he had needed as the duo returned. “Have you figured out what you needed?” Nelvona asked as she kept her stern queen like tone and air to her as she entered. “Well, it certainly helped me figure out what I was missing, your library is quite fantastic. I am at least grateful for that much.” He stated as he made his way to her. He noticed she was ready to speak as he nodded and waited. “Have you learned anything about raising the dead? I know it is a lost art so it has to be here, but I am curious if you have found it?” She asked him as he thought for a moment, placing his hand over his mouth as he did before nodding. “I did see something like that, it is quite the process however, and would take time. Why do you ask?” SahÏr wondered as he looked at her and she stood. “I need you to revive a dead body, follow me.” She said and held out her hand as a portal opened, Alev and Nelvona making their way through as SahÏr followed behind them curiously. They arrived on the other side to see Logan watching the body from the cave hideout as he glanced and noticed Nelvona, and nodded to her as if understanding. “Make your decision?” He asked as he walked over, Nelvona looking at him for a moment. “We will help for the time being, SahÏr here will revive the dead as long as you keep myself and him out of whatever it is Alucard wants.” She said as Logan shrugged and nodded, moving aside to let them at the body.

SahÏr looked at it for a moment as he went to examine the body up close and thought to himself. Nelvona waited patiently as Alev stood guard watching to make sure the Elderitch group didn’t find them before he could finish, glancing back every so often curiously to see what SahÏr was doing. After a few minutes of silence, he shook his head and stood. “He has been dead too long I believe. Despite the body being in stable condition, his heart, and all vital organs have since deteriorated, thus making it just an empty shell. You can potentially implant a new soul into it as a puppet, but without anything that would allow us to drag Drazernon’s soul back, the body is useless to you.” He said as Logan listened, a bit annoyed before seeing a portal open and Alucard walked out, seeing Nelvona and SahÏr standing there. “So, you decided to aid me at last?” He asked as Nelvona shook her head. “Quite the opposite, you foolish man. I am just here to allow my ally here to revive this body for you, but it seems like a useless endeavor.” She said as Alucard watched in confusion, before SahÏr explained once again. Alucard grunted in annoyance as he glared at the body. “Damn, this old bastard even in death mocks me.” He said as Nelvona opened another portal ready to leave, glancing back. “Since I can’t offer to revive the body, I will tell you this. The Elderitch army is marching this way as we speak. You have a chance to escape and go into hiding, or face them in the wreckage. Speak now, if you wish for my aid, you must prove it.” She said simply, Alucard and Logan looking at one another before nodding.

“I won’t ask for much, I just request you stay in the castle and stop them from looking at anything that could give away what I plan to do. Just kill anyone on sight.” Alucard said as he started walking away with Logan, leaving the body as Nelvona smirked but nodded, closing her portal and making her way towards the body as Logan followed Alucard out, looking at SahÏr. “Do me a favor, take this body to the castle, and hide it, that is all I want of you. After that our agreement is as good as settled. After the matter I will meet with you to finalize everything.” She said, SahÏr watching as she left to head for the now destroyed castle. SahÏr looked at the body and smirked as he picked it up, and started walking. “Idiots, all of them. Of course I can bring him back to life, but what good would it be if I did? He would just get in my way from achieving my dreams of reviving the ancient dragons for my personal army. And besides, I told this fool decades ago, don’t expect me to return the favor for anything he did.” SahÏr smirked, showing there might be more to his past then he gave off. The Chit’Vani leader smirked as he walked towards the castle with Nelvona out of earshot. Things were slowly coming together.

As they watched them leave, Logan looked to Alucard and crossed his arms. “Okay, What are you planning? I have seen you lose your temper over less. Reviving that body was your goal.” He said as Alucard smirked as he walked off, Logan following. “Raigh will set our plan into motion, Once he does what he must, I will tell you the rest. For now, get ready for a battle, we will kill anyone who enters this realm.” He smirked as Logan readied his bow. “That is what I want to hear!” Logan said as he went to get ready, leaping into a tree as Alucard watched, entering a portal to go into his own position.

-

Raigh looked at the vial in his hands as he made his way into the medical ward, looking for Lynx’s room. He remembered what he had to do as he sighed to himself. “I need to make sure Lynx drinks this and then faces Nelvona. Once I do this, I will permanently be an enemy to the kingdom. Am I really ready for this?” He asked himself as he looked at it, standing before Lynx’s room in the medical ward. He resolved himself and nodded as he swallowed back everything he felt and walked in, seeing Lynx lying there, awake but having an annoyed look on his face. “Lynx? I heard what happened from your father, are you okay?” He asked, trying to put on a gentle and friendly look as he sat down beside him as Lynx sighed. “My father betrayed my trust, Drax wanted to stand by, and now that I am in here I learn they’re heading off to battle. How do you think I feel?” He sighed and looked away from him as Raigh nodded, and sighed. “Well, I know how you feel. My wife is out there ready to fight alongside them and I am here just waiting for her return because I was needed to protect the queen.” He explained as Lynx looked over, as Raigh smiled at him. “But that shouldn’t stop you. I actually have something that’ll help you fight with them.” He said and handed him the vial, as Lynx accepted it and examined the dark purple fluid as Raigh watched. “It is something I have been working on, it will allow you to regain your strength and temporarily stop whatever is making you sick. It will also give you the capabilities to face this demon Nelvona without struggle.” He said as Lynx nodded at what he was saying, taking hold of it and opening it, the smell was awful but Lynx wanted to be useful to his friends. “I made a promise, I would be there for Draga and Inferno. I have no choice.” He said and drank the liquid inside the vial, coughing a little as he felt it going to work immediately.

Raigh watched as Lynx slowly stood up and groaned before he stood straight and looked like nothing was hurting him anymore. The boy examined his hands and looked at himself before nodding. “Now all I need to do is change and get to where I can catch up to them before they get to their goal.” He said as Raigh handed him a bag that had a change of clothing in it as Raigh looked away, the boy quickly changing out of his medical ward outfit and putting on his assassin outfit, pulling his mask over his face and nodding. “I also have you covered on getting to them. I have a secret power only Drax knows about. I can open portals and I can place you near the castle with ease so you can be ready for them.” He explained, reaching out his hand and forcing a portal open before them as Lynx grabbed his weapons from the bag as well, getting himself situated. He looked to Raigh curiously. “Why are you helping me, before you always just looked at me like I was a bother but now you are aiding me. What gives?” He asked as Raigh shook his head.

“Nothing. I just want to make sure they have as much help as they can get, and you were a better choice over Silcia or Saria. And Mar has a wounded leg so that would complicate things even if this temporarily stopped the pain. You were the only choice left.” He explained as Lynx nodded, adjusting his mask and walking towards the portal. “Tell my father I am sorry. I can no longer be obedient and sit idly when my friends are in danger. Thank you Raigh.” He said softly before jumping through, closing behind him as Raigh smirked to himself, and started laughing hysterically. “What a moron, he thinks I am helping him? What a joke. Now he just has to fight Nelvona and when he wins, we will dispose of him with the rest of those idiots. This will be amazing.” He smirked as he was about to leave, before Marz revealed himself at the door, kicking it open when he heard what he did, standing beside him was Millia. Millia glared in anger as she drew her sword. “I knew it, I had my suspicions when Draco caught me up to speed while I was incapacitated that you weren’t one of us. You deceptive prick, better get ready. I may have been out of commission thanks to those damned mages months ago, but I will not back down if your goal is to kill the royal family.”

Raigh smirked a bit, but decided to play this in his favor as he made it seem like he was under some influence, Marz thinking it was weird. “Foolish duo you are, thinking you can stop lord Alucard’s plan. I will just cut you down like the rest of them, one by one you will fall.” He said hysterically, Marz glancing at an unsure Millia, who nodded to him. “Prince Marz, I think he is under Alucard’s control. Fight him and knock him out but let’s try to keep him alive for now. If he shows any signs that he is actually Raigh and properly in control, then kill him, but I don’t want my first mission back to end in mistake.” She said as Raigh sent a blast of magic at them, breaking the doorway and wall around them apart as he opened the area more, Marz covering his face to avoid the debrid hitting his eyes as he nodded. “Right, I don’t fully believe it but he does sound like he is possessed, all we can do is knock him out and let my dad decide for certain.” He said and readied his polearm, Millia aiming her sword at Raigh, the arena was set, their battle was now.
