Maalum means special in Swahili. He's special to me for many reasons.
He was created based on my favorite Lion Guard characters: Kion and Reirei. He was also slightly based on Kopa, another lion that I love and that, unfortunately, isn't considered canon.
I consider Maalum my son. I love him from the bottom of my heart.
MAALUM:
PERSONALITY: he's friendly, funny and likes to help the others. He's also a good listener. He has afraid to fail with the ones he care about.
LOVES: his family, his friends, having fun and relaxing.
HATES: injustices, prejudices, wickedness, discussions and to disappoint his friends and family.
This hybrid isn't based on a couple if that's what you mean when you say "ship". I never hide that I have a crush on Reirei and I love Kion a lot, but Maalum isn't based on that ship. I love jackals and lions in real life too. I just wanted creating a hybrid of two of my favorite animals. Besides, Maalum is also based on Kopa.
