, I have this drawing posted, as well as a partial version of this drawing posted with a mongoose and genet who had just crossed the tracks, and the headlight of an approaching train is seen at a distance away.
In this drawing, I drew the railroad tracks, dirt road, some of the foliage, the lake, the lake bank beside the tracks, and blending in on the areas of trees. Other parts are what I personally photographed.
Pretty much how I picked up on image manipulation was by playing around with it in my spare time. A big key to it is to not choose colours from a pallet. I always use the colour picker to grab colours from nearby objects. Using gray hues in some colour applications also gives good results.
